My Little Aussie-thai Grandson In Chinat Province

Featured Replies

I am the Australian grannie of a beautiful 15month baby boy whose mother(TG) has returned to her parents home in Thailand. My son tried so hard to live with her as a family but her physical, verbal and psychological abuse towards him( I have seen it and it scared the hel_l out of me) forced him to send her back from Thailand from the Philippines as it was affecting the baby also. Enough of this you have all heard the stories. My question is how can we be sure the little boy is being cared for as she says he is now no better than a beggar as he doesn't have a father and she has lost face in the village. Money is being sent to her regularly. She is using the child to get the relationship back together but she has had 2 chances and the trauma is too vivid to try again.

This baby has an Australian passport. Is she able to refuse my son permission to bring the baby to Australia at Christmas for holidays? He will be returning to China to continue working in the New Year. Is there any legal avenue he can use to get his son home for a holiday or more importantly get full custody of him.

this is the stuff for very good family lawyers.

I'm sure other members will be able to provide you with the right details.
