A Thai citizen is alerting drivers in Udon Thani's Isaan province about two individuals who are fraudulently staging accidents to demand money. In a situation where he refused to pay 30,000 baht, they assaulted him.

The 44-year-old man, Sarn, reported to Channel 3 about the event that took place on Don Kloy-Dongyang-Phibunrak Road in Udon Thani province. He was driving with his wife on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17 when a Toyota Vigo pickup abruptly hit his car. Two men from the pickup rushed towards him, demanding 30,000 baht as compensation. Sarn refused to pay, and despite his wife, Maew, requesting the men to wait for the police, they broke his car's side mirror.

Ignoring other attempts to intervene from passersby, the duo attacked Sarn with kicks and punches and falsely labelled him a drug trafficker while posing as police officers. They forced Sarn into their car, but he successfully escaped and hurriedly returned to his car to inform the local police about the incident at Phibunrak Police Station.

Following the episode, Sarn found a similar case on Facebook and recognized the same culprits. A photo shared by Channel 8 revealed Sarn had an injured arm, although the precise degree of the injury hasn't been disclosed.

Channel 3 also broadcasted another similar incident that occurred the same day on the Somsao-Nakha Road at around 2 p.m involving a 49-year-old woman. The culprits slowed down in front of her, causing her to signal to overtake. However, they rapidly accelerated causing an accident, blamed the woman and even got a passing motorcyclist to support their story.

The complot ended with the woman paying 2,500 baht instead of the originally demanded 4,500 baht. The money was sent to Wipawe Jaiprathum's bank account.

Both victims caution other drivers to be extra careful, especially since the culprits are still on the loose.

Something for the police to go on as they now have a location.

20 years ago there was a guy who leapt in front of cars then asked for compensation. Be careful to keep all doors locked and, if possible, take a photo or video for police.
