submitted a proposal that a joint study be conducted on this step.

Good idea .

Better than a bong study ?

Anyway , better check it out before they talk too much about it ....

Of course they are not getting together for this reason. They both have so much in common they must be meeting for a spot of tea. Surely since Thaksin has no governmental power he could not coerce Anutin. They share other commonalities like their hatred of foreigners. But given Thaksin controls things from behind the scene now. I am most certain he will convince Anutin to do the right thing (Thaksin's way) about his views on all topics needed where they disagree.

Ready Tony! 1,2,3:

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Teflon Tony.

Not teflon. He ran away before, and will likely have to run away again.

Karaoke is the way to negotiate in Thailand. I agree that a full inquiry needs to be conducted first with doctors providing medical evidence that weed kills, makes you go mad, or causes disability.

So Annie had Teflon Tony come up to his ranch in Korat to sing a few silly songs together so that Annie could make it clear that if they re-criminalize cannabis then BJT would pull out of the coalition. And so the deal was done to keep cannabis legal.

The question now is, how is Tony and his band of bozos going to profit from it if they can't re-criminalize it to where the government can control all of the legal supply and distribution?

Guess he's probably working on a Plan B. I assume they would love to be able to simply tax it, but it seems impossible when there are literally thousands of growers and there is no way to tax the supply coming from the growers, to the vendors, and on to the end users.

They likely just needed to discuss aspects of the takeover, and the surrender to the army, and all the implications of completely selling out the PT.
