Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
ooops, oh never mind........(full text in link) Interesting story from a Russian mobilised man titled "mistakes at war" about the new battalion commander's decision to relocate mortars closer to infantry which led to devastating losses from Ukrainian drones, resulting in more casualties in three weeks than in the previous 2.5 years. The shortage of qualified personnel on the Russian side is real. https://x.com/wartranslated/status/1832713300519317596 -

Do You Believe: Next year, and the next, will be HOTTER than 2024?
This area in Petchabun you can sort of see that... In April the area in Red would stay around 35-36°C at around 800M elevation... yet in the valley below near sea level it would be at 42°C -

Musk the useful idiot
Well, by your reasoning, anyone supporting any legislation that either increases the tax burdens on others that might have a beneficial effect on them or supports decreases that will lower their tax burden is greedy. Thai doctor vows to create "Hitler Room" to gas hospital smokers
I believe that having less patients per day is more quality time for each patient thus promoting correct and caring diagnosis. Too often patients are treated as inorganic blobs on an assembly line. -

Baht becoming ridiculously strong
It has trouble to clear the 2500 hurdle, that is a strong number, so it can take some doing. But it will go up. With the dollar falling after the interest rate cuts, it would be strange if Gold did not go up.
