A Japanese man was arrested for attempting to sexually assault an inebriated Thai lady on Royal City Avenue (RCA), Bangkok, in the early morning hours of Sunday.

The woman and her boyfriend lodged a complaint at Makkasan Police Station after the incident, which occurred around 4.40am on July 28. The couple provided police and Channel 3 with surveillance footage captured on various CCTV cameras at RCA.

The woman recounted that she was under the influence and waiting on the second level of a car park building for her boyfriend to retrieve her car. While seated on a bench, the Japanese man approached and proceeded to sit beside her, draping an arm around her.

When she turned away, he withdrew his arm but persisted with his advances, forcing her head onto his lap, and touching her improperly. His actions were interrupted by passersby.

According to the woman and CCTV footage, the man then picked the woman up and transported her to the building's ground floor and into a taxi. When she attempted to call her boyfriend, the man seized her phone. Upon realizing she was communicating with her boyfriend, he instructed the taxi driver to halt, threw her out of the vehicle, and then drove off in the cab.

The woman's boyfriend claimed to be en route to collect his girlfriend when he received a distress call from her, saying that the Japanese man was attempting to relocate her. She informed her boyfriend that she was on RCA Road after a struggle over the phone.

Her boyfriend instructed her to secure herself in the car and wait for his arrival. Upon arriving, he escorted her to Makkasan Police Station.

Police quickly apprehended the Japanese suspect identified as 27-year old Nichimura. Initially, Nichimura denied these accusations. However, he later confessed to unintentional assault, blaming it on his state of intoxication.

Nichimura was charged with sexual assault and detaining another person, after which he was granted bail at 50,000 baht. His passport was confiscated while he awaits court proceedings, and he is prohibited from leaving Thailand.

What the Japanese guy did was disgusting and he should be prosecuted for his actions.

As for the young lady and boyfriend, maybe they should reconsider their actions when inebriated...

I hope he wasn't DUI ?

Have you watched Japanese porn? It apparently is a fetish for Japanese men advancing on women in vulnerable situations such as asleep, drunk, and so on.

Some masterful research done here!!!

I had a few too many beers and I just thought that every woman in Thailand was here for the picking, that's what some of my friends have told me, and I believed them. So I just carried her to the taxi figuring I would have my way with her.

If this story is true, it almost leaves me speechless. There are so many good looking women in Thailand that ready, willing and able to perform. Why would you want to push yourself on somebody who is not willing? It takes an incredibly small man to behave like that.

I hope he is punished to a significant degree.
