I've always seen the riots in the context of what started them, and what has happened before (BLM riots). 3 little girls being murdered and several others stabbed in a Taylor Swift dance class. Compared to that horror (which has all been forgotten about) and the sheer scale of the rioting with BLM then it doesn't quite compare really does it?

They shouted at the police, which I could be wrong but don't think this is a crime. They would also have a good case for police brutality as the dog handler set his dog on one of the first guy when it appeared he was complying with the police request to move back and he had his back turned when the handler moved his dog to allow it to attack him. Please watch the judge summing up - it is quite clear about what they did and why they are guilty of violent affray and the fact that judges should and must give deterrent and punitive sentences. Riots must be stopped in their tracks.Period from wherever they come the peace of realm demands it. 1

These are 2 completely seperate acts justice for these poor girls killled, less we forget by a 17 year old Welsh citizen who happens to be black is ongoing and burning down towns, attacking msques, looting, provoking violent disorder have absolutely nothing to do with that case. That is just plain opportinistic thuggery and thankfully is facing the full force. of thr law. Watch Wesley Winter a British Chinese you tuber that has reported I think almost supportivley about the Tommy marches in London and the folks who go on them. He went to Middlesborough and saw first hand and recorded terrible acts of vandalism, violence and destruction of ordinary people's homes and businesses by masked up hoodlums intent on destruction. It shook him and his frightened girlfriend to the core. 1

beautifulthailand99 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Also what these far right types have done and if not hammered could be source of mass terrorism in this country. All Iran or other malevolent players have to do is send sleeper operatives over on the boats. Establish sleeper cells in the UK and at some point if war breaks out send truck bomb or a suicide bomber say into a nursety causing mass carnage. The furore and carnage that the save the kids groups could spark up doesn't bear thinking about and must keep the anti-terrorist police up at night. They may well get their race war and breakdown of law and order whcih they love to predict. And who would win - the foreign power for the price of a few thousand dollars. The ultimate dirty bomb. By hammering the rioters we take that option off the table. 1

No thanks - these protestors are causing mayhem at the moment. Brexit and the Tories gutting our polical system has in large contributed to this situation. The incoming Labour goverment is trying to sort this out as the adults in the room through international co-operation.Tommy Robinson and his ilk are the answer to nothing except stoking further discontent. 2

We are not talking about protesters, we are talking about violent thugs, setting fire to hotels with people inside them and looting the businesses of hard-working British citizens. The second part is a fair concern. Brexit has made this immeasurably more difficult, considering the UK no longer has access to Eurodac. There are laws in place - from both previous Labour and Conservative governments - that allow for prosecution of immigrants who travel to the UK without valid paperwork. If identity cannot be proven at a later date, then the asylum application is failed. However, there have been relatively few prosecutions under the 2004 and 2022 laws, I don't know why. Perhaps the politicians are happy to have a group to take the blame for all their failings, and to deflect from things like the generous pay increases they consistently give themselves, the vasts amount of money given to the businesses of their friends etc., whilst everyone else appears to suffer from low wage growth etc. 1 1

You can take away Tommy Robinson and you can take away Elon Musk but it would be delusional to think that would solve anything as they are just the symptoms. They are not the problem. The problem is that over 1 million people arrive in the UK per year and it is impossible to integrate this number of people into the UK. Some of those arrivals do not even want to integrate into the UK, and hate the west, but just want to indulge in its generosity. These people live in silos. All of this would be easier for the existing citizens of the UK to cope with if the arrivals (and children of the arrivals - 2nd generation immigrants) did not commit crimes, rape children or commit acts of terrorism, but instead lived peaceably alongside the people of Britain. Does removing Tommy Robinson stop this from happening? No. All that happens is that someone else (another pantomime villain) stands up to highlight the problem as it hasn't gone anywhere. 4

That's an excellent question. It is very difficult to find solid information on this, partly because the government (or the state, we are not really talking about political parties here) does not want to advertise its methods, which I can understand to a point but it is frustrating. I see the oft repeated phrase warning migrants that if their identity cannot be proven by the usual means then 'less reliable forms of identification will be used'. I have no idea what this constitutes. I know that the UK has readmission agreements with individual countries - such as Pakistan, Iran etc. These agreements are put in place to help establish the identity of an individual without paperwork. Currently, there are just over 5000 'stateless persons' in the UK. That's a total figure, not an annual one, so it relates to a very small percentage of immigrants. I would expect facing indefinite detention for the rest of your life is not a primary goal for many. 1

Considering also that if the arrivals are not each earning circa £40K per year then they are a net drain on the economy, and I don't even think that includes the cost of the extra infrastructure needed (schools, hospitals, gp surgerys, roads, transport links) to support these extra people and, regardless of cost, it is not even possible to build it quickly enough so these people are lessoning the quality of life for those already living in the UK - including the existing immigrants. The only "benefit" is that it has a minor increase on the GDP of the country, but this comes with a negative impact on GDP per capita - the one that is important to the individual. Of course none of this is allowed to be considered now as the narrative has been accepted by the dimwits that the discontent was "far right thuggery" and no-one had a legitimate concern, so the problem will be once again kicked down the road until the next preventable horror occurs and we go through it all over again. 1 1

How many legal migrants are there (that you no doubt approve of), and how many British people selfishly die each year? How many selfishly die without having children? And how many Brits are born? I am sure you have this info as you as so concerned with the population of the UK. 1
