Brownie points for now......not the right time to go for it.....so I guess he is going to hang back and see what develops.

With Thaksin on his deathbed things could change quickly.

I was with you until you confusingly brought Biden into comparison in this Thai mess somehow.

Biden was a puppet for Obama, now do you get the comparison

Money and power. He will demand to keep the Interior ministry and get back the Health ministry and may demand the Transport ministry back too. These are all very lucrative portfolios. Anutin was angry with Srettha for not letting him keep Health and Transport the last time because he (or rather Thaksin) came up with a policy that minister could not get the same ministries again, specifically to thwart Anutin.

So let’s see her cabinet lineup and what’s in her policy statement.

if the wallet is binned, there will be a big backlash from people who registered for it and are now concerned about ID theft. Not to mention the poor sods without smart phones who had to borrow from loan sharks to get a smart phone against their handout money to register. Maybe Ung Ing will offer free nights in their Rosewood Hotel or free nose jobs in their Rama 9 hospital in compensation.

I like to know how you know people without smart phones had to borrow money to buy one to register  as the registering  criteria was the first register people with smart phones THEN people without to go to Ampore  to register so there was no need to buy a smart phone  i think you are trying to embellish you post a bit

Prawit is throwing his teddies out of the pram. Assaulting a reporter in his anger at not being nominated. I think there's more comedic action to come.

Looks like the video won't play here. Just google "prawit slaps reporter" if you want a laugh.

Any president would be lucky to have such intellectual advice.

The last 20 months or 20 years  in the kingdom of Thailand politics and Boss moves would make a good movie.  Include the German COVID times and a few soapys.

You thought the Muppet show was good and even the Simpsons didn't see this coming. Or choosing to ignore as same old same old.

Well, I never! Almost like it was scripted. 🙂

Almost?? It was scripted! Here we go again adults playing musical chairs,  just a matter of time before the constitutional court stops the music. Not impressed!

Orchestrated to a T...   (Thaksin pun intended)....

The Master puppeteer has moved his pieces perfectly...  Pushed Sreetha through, knowing his Digital wallet was untenable, illegal and vote buying, he'd be easy to 'oust' and he was.

Nudge out the competition, Pita and the house of representatives...

And we have a new 'fresh face'.. Wooo !!! - at least its not that vile anti-farang tub of lard, Anutin.

Next on the agenda?  full pardon for Thaksin himself ?...  His aliments will magically have improved and he won't need his 'Dubai Specialist' (Doctor)... and Auntie will be back at the family dinner table soon enough.

What left for Thai politicians? to openly call the public a bunch of gullible fools ?...

One of the many things Thailand has going for it, is that even in light of such open insult to democracy and the public in general, their apathy is such that the tendency to respond violently is significantly suppressed.... History has shown that serious uprising is dealt with swiftly and in a deadly manner (1976 Thammasat University massacre / 1992 Black May).

A populace gets the government it deserves...   and it would be amiss of me to highlight how broken our own democratic process are with the Biden debacle proving a perfect example of external puppeteering.

I hope this is a refreshing and advantageous step for Thailand, but can't help think that this is just one last dance for a megalomaniac.

Who is selecting…has anyone in the Thai Public voted for the last two PMs?

it appears the Public doesn’t get to vote for their leaders…at least the West gets to vote….( it may not count- but at least you get to vote )…I guess the Public doesn’t matter anymore…

Do you not know how an election or Parliament works !!!! the Public do not vote for a PM ( prime minister) when there is an Election You vote for your MP ( member of Parliament) and he in turn will vote for a PM  simple the public do NOT vote for a PM  in the west little bit different the Party members vote for a leader  and if that party win an election that leader becomes a PM again the public does not vote for a PM  (do not know the us system )

Thaksin already had his miraculous recovery. I wonder how long it will take the people or the military to revolt if his daughter takes control this way? Surely, most people who follow the government has seen this farce for what it is. i mean, i hope that Thais are not really this stupid not to see what Thaksin has been doing since he returned to Thailand. i guess we will know in about a week. Hmm.. Things are going to get interesting here again. That's for sure.

Ir was so obvious and Dad Thaksin still tunning the country before he even  came back "sick" and next when is his sister coming back and soon.

"and become another NON-elected PM"     Do you know how PM's  are elected !!!! I think not !!!!

PM are elected by the MP's   NOT the people  so what has just happened The PM has just being elected by the MPs     I am really amazed by the posters on here how little they know about Parliament procedures

I do know but thanks for sharing, did you know there are no PM's beside the ones from her party some from a minority parties, they dissolved the party that was elected by the PEOPLE to selected/elect a PM, she was not elected by MP's, you know that but needed to sound smart

Only those on the 2023 list of Nominees could apply to be elected, I do not know  why MF party only nominated Pita and not a back up as well ,  I do not understand the bold part of your post,  of course she was elected by MPs all the MPs took part

If she was not elected by MPs as you say, WHO elected her
