What a surprise the Guardian are also gaslighting about it 😄.

Nothing to see here. Shut up and accept it or we will call you racist and far right.

The left are creating huge problems labelling normal people far right. I predict it will backfire.

Self fulfilling prophecy.

I think it’s fair to say people who respond to the heinous murder of three children by someone born and raised in the UK by attacking the completely innocent asian muslim community, go on the rampage rioting in their neighborhoods, attacking their places of worship, looting their businesses or excusing and obfuscating those crimes while continually scapegoating immigrants are racist.

When they parrot the racist views of the likes of Yaxely Lennon it more or less seals the deal.

If they make efforts to remove any doubt by frequently resorting to racist dog whistles then it is churlish to point fingers at those who observe and correctly identify the behavior.

Actually there is no question, IMO. Technology makes money, so the 1% will "own" tech for their own benefit. As usual something that could set humans free from the grind of hard labour, illness, and poverty will be used to make even more profit for the few. In this Brave New World of ours greed is everything.

Don't expect government to change it- politicians IMO are craven servants of the 1%, with their backdoor bribery, lobbyists and financial support during elections.

I agree with your first paragraph, the second is a re-hash of the message ‘don’t bother voting’

It’s a message the 1% you refer to are undoubtedly pleased to see you parrot on their behalf.

This is when we get into gene Roddenberry visions of a society where money has no meaning.

I actually lived and worked in a ( small ) community for a year where we needed no money. Yes we got everything we needed for free, including medical and dental.

Of course, none of us were criminals, we all had jobs which we did without protest or striking, and there were no drones ie politicians, police, teachers etc.

I'd rather live in a society like that than one driven by greed and full of criminals and drones.

You are an excellent example of someone so extreme leftist and vocal that you actually drive people to the right.

Strange then that prior to WW2 most people in western countries had jobs ( leaving aside the depression ) that didn't depend on mega international companies that put profit ahead of humans. The rise of conglomerates has not been good for ordinary people, but like the devil, big business has been able to fool most as to the truth.

Sadly I think it's far too late to go back to a better world and our way of life is over, but most just don't realise it yet. Like the Romans, our real rulers suppress the mob with bread and circuses.

It was great ride for me, being born at just the right time to get the best of what our society was able to deliver, but it's over. Sayonara baby, it's been real while it lasted.

Re read your history mate.  In those days it was the mineral and manufacturing Barons that ruled the roost and made profits that secured jobs.  They were far worse than the big multi Nationals of today, as there were few labour laws protecting workers, as there are now.  You argue against economics at the fundamental level.  The big companies need people to buy their products.  They need their workers to also buy their products. Its ridiculous to say that they put profit ahead of people , as its the people that generate the profit.

Economies create demand, companies employ people to meet demand

No workers, no production, no profit.

Two men have received the longest prison sentences to date in connection with the riots that erupted across parts of England and Northern Ireland following the Southport stabbings. The violence, which has been described as "racist, hate-fueled mob violence," involved a series of attacks, looting, and destruction that left communities in fear and resulted in significant damage to property.

image.png.b93d8b9aac8a86355fa1fab011315722.png

David Wilkinson, aged 48, was sentenced to six years in prison, and John Honey, aged 25, received a sentence of four years and eight months. Both men were part of what has been described as a "baying mob" that attacked a car containing three Romanian men in Hull on August 3. The mob surrounded the vehicle and launched a vicious assault, attempting to drag the men out of the car. Honey was seen pulling open the passenger door as one of the men tried desperately to close it, while Wilkinson was caught on camera damaging the car’s windscreen. The attack left the vehicle with £1,500 worth of damage.

Is this Britain's most shameless rioter? Horrifying moment yob caught on social media looting Lush, O2 and ShoeZone attacked BMW with three Romanians inside - before 'offering to sign autograph in prison' |

Hull Crown Court was told that the three men inside the car, fearing for their lives, eventually exited the vehicle with their hands raised before fleeing to a nearby hotel. The scenes on August 3 were described by Judge John Thackray KC as "12 hours of racist, hate-fueled mob violence." He stated that both Wilkinson and Honey had intended to create a high risk of injury, adding that watching footage of the riots had been "depressing" and "horrifying."

In addition to the attack on the Romanian men, Wilkinson was involved in an attack on a garage where nine cars were damaged. He attempted to set fire to a bin placed on top of a pile of tires that were already burning, sending thick black smoke through the shutters of the workshop where people had sought refuge. Wilkinson pleaded guilty to violent disorder, racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage, and attempted arson.

Honey also participated in the attack on the garage and was involved in looting shops, including the cosmetic store Lush, an O2 store, and Shoezone. He pleaded guilty to violent disorder, racially aggravated criminal damage, and three charges of burglary. His behavior during the unrest was described as "appalling, shameless, and violent" by Michael Quinn, the deputy chief crown prosecutor of CPS Yorkshire and Humberside.

The unrest and violence that followed the Southport stabbings led to more than 1,000 arrests across England and Northern Ireland. So far, approximately 480 people have been charged, and at least 99 sentences have been handed down as cases continue to be processed in court.

In other parts of the country, more rioters were sentenced on Friday. Roger Haywood, aged 41, was jailed for two and a half years for his role as a "leader and instigator" of rioting in Blackpool. Haywood pleaded guilty to violent disorder and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker. He was accused of hurling abuse at police officers and attacking a security guard at the Hounds Hill shopping center after attempting to break through the shutters of a closed store. Judge Robert Altham, who sentenced Haywood, noted that his drunkenness on the day was an "aggravating feature." Haywood was later seen visibly too intoxicated to operate a loudhailer to address the crowds.

In Sunderland, Paul Williams, aged 45, was sentenced to two years and two months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of violent disorder. The court heard that Williams had entered the city center to collect a takeaway but ended up at the forefront of what was described as an "orgy of mindless destruction, violence, and disorder." Despite his defense lawyer’s claim that Williams had no political opinions around immigration and was "entirely unaware of the basis of what started this," Newcastle Crown Court heard that he threw metal fencing and a can of beer at police officers, stripped off his shirt, and charged at the line of riot shields.

Meanwhile, Stevie Mulryne, aged 29, was sentenced to 16 months, and Charles Smith, aged 22, received a 23-week sentence for their involvement in disorder near Downing Street on July 31. Westminster Magistrates Court heard that Mulryne made a stabbing gesture towards police officers and led offensive chanting, while Smith "struck up a fighting stance" and chanted "scum" at officers.

As the legal repercussions of the riots continue to unfold, the first adult charged with the serious offense of riot, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, appeared in court. Kieran Usher, aged 32, did not enter a plea at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court after being charged in connection with disorder in Sunderland city center on August 2. Additionally, a 15-year-old boy became the first person in England to be charged with riot for his involvement in the Sunderland unrest.

In Darlington, Ashkan Kareem, aged 33, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for his participation in a clash on August 5. Kareem claimed that he was trying to protect a mosque from being attacked by "racists." However, the presiding judge stated that Kareem was part of a group that gathered in opposition to men "chanting racist and far-right slogans," and it was "abundantly clear that would result in violence and it did."

Further sentences for violent disorder were handed down in various cities across England, including Bristol, Sheffield, Sunderland, Blackpool, Liverpool, and Plymouth. The sentences reflect the severity of the crimes committed during the riots, as the courts continue to address the widespread unrest and the damage it caused to communities.

It has very little to do with race hatred, it is all about the Government allowing undocumented people into the country, many of which are associated with banned organizations.

It’s a bit of a difficult argument made when the evidence from the convicted the mongers themselves demonstrates otherwise.

Lucy Connolly tweeted about hotels housing asylum seekers on the same day three girls were fatally stabbed at a dance class in Southport. She said on X: “Mass deportation now, set fire to all the <deleted> hotels full of the bastards for all I care … If that makes me racist, so be it.”

The only illegal immigrants who get free accomodation are those who are part of the Detention Estate; basically in a camp. There are about 2000 in this situation. About 30-35,000 per year are bailed. According to the Home Office, 95% comply with bail conditions (ie they don't abscond). They have no recourse to Public Funds; no benefits.

Asylum seekers, ie people who have been determined to be seeking asylum, and by dint, not an illegal immigrant anymore, also don't get benefits, but can get financial help.

But the total number of people who should not be in the UK is anywhere between 300,000 and 600,000, plus their kids. They don't claim benefits. They are part of the Black or Shadow economy, which is about 10% of GDP. The authorities don't know who they are, where they are.

This is the cash-in-hand economy. 75% of people think there is nothing wrong with paying cash in hand, and, according to YouGov, 65% of people admit to paying tradesmen cash in hand. We all know why people do it; its to get a discount, because no VAT

About 90% of peope each year become illegal migrants. About 30,000 arrive on boats; clandestine entry, and likely the vast majority of boats are intercepted. About 11,000 are known to come in the back of a lorry; that will be a fraction. 65-70,000 overstay their visa, but that includes people who genuinely forgot.. About 5000 asylum seekers who were refused asylum are recorded as having never left the country; they disappear into the black economy. 4000 arrive by air without papers or on a fake passport. They don't get far.

The issue of the black economy could be tackled in a number of ways:

1. Issue national ID cards for all adults. Intrusive inspections of workplaces, public transport, checkpoints. I'm sure the inspectors will be very polite when they ask for papers, please. Sure, there will be an industry for fake papers, but its harder and harder to fake that, once there is a national DNA and fingerprint database for all individuals. But strangely, those most vociferous about immigration tend to be unethusiastic about this.

2. Crack down on cash in hand jobs.. Likely will have an inflationary impact.

3. The Public take a hardline against soft drugs. When Mo Robinson was discovered with a trailer full of dead Vietnamese, he was set to basically delivery them to slave cannabis farms in and around London. Mo Robinson was from a Loyalist family; he bled red, white and blue. Probably hung Union flags outside his fancy Armagh house every July (young lad, lovely new house, fancy car, all from driving manure trucks). He might have thought of himself as a Patriot. He's  doing 20+ years now. These illegals work for basically British gangmasters, in illegal industries that are tolerated by many.

One study looked at regularising these illegals. The black economy accounts for 10% of UK GDP. Legalising them would yield about £1 billion in tax receipts, but cost £4.5 billion in benefits. Maybe keep them illegal. Its cheaper.
