How do you deal with bank of America in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the best way to update my information with Bank of America while I'm in Thailand. I don't have access to a US phone. I have money in the US that I need to transfer, but even after sending a registrated mail with copies of my passport, they only closed 2 out of my 3 accounts and didn’t complete the transfer. How do you all handle this situation?

Thanks for your help!

Transfer to where?

Your account in Thailand?

Another account in the U.S.?

Short of flying back, I think you'll have to ring BofA and see what can be accomplished.

They closed all my accounts after writing them (took 3 weeks) and they have sent me a check to my adress in europe, Now dealing with my EU bank to cash out. Never again I will deal with BOA.

ALL US banks are in stone age.... Good luck cashing your check in the EU.

You should have used trusted US friend to take all out with your debit card at ATM and then

wire it to you. Or used his/her credit card to buy something to you for same amount.
