Good Dry Martinis

Featured Replies

The Marriott serves good martinis but the Marriott is kinda expensive. Regular bars don't know what they're doing (I'm too impatient to teach). Some "international" restaurants don't either. Anybody know a good venue that definitely can make a good straight up dry martini, reasonably priced?

how much do the marriot charge?

As almost everyone has a different dry-martini taste, you just have to find the bar that suits you and pay the freight.

Could this become another piss-up thread? Groups meeting in different bars each week to test the quality of the dry martini?

Later a Scotch-sampling, then a draught beer sampling?

There's a lifetimes work ahead of us .....

there is a bar on soi 8 that you can buy bottles, maybe you can make your own ???

Getting the Thaïs in Pattaya bars to make a Martini, is just asking for disappointment

on the 10th try they could be getting near it. :o

2 oz gin

1 tbsp dry vermouth

2 tbsp olive juice

2 olives

Olive juice? What is that? I know olive oil, but wouldn't use it.

What about a chilled glass, or cocktail onions, other alternatives.

Suggestions awaited.
