As Louis Armstrong once famously said. "If you have to ask, you will never know".

One reason you have never fit in here.

bonus points for bringing the mop and bucket.

If you are really into that fetish stuff, then get them to carry a golf bag full of putters and balls. Then you can also get away with the caddy narrative.

...and on the ID card it states if they are a sex worker or not??

bob.

upstanding members of society would be screaming bloody murder if they're asked to leave ID to visit a friend in a condo

Why do you hide it, when you already post your wife let´s you. There is nothing to hide when having such great relation.

I am specifically talking about security guards in condos/housing projects.

what do these guys actually do?

it seems all they do is walk around all day taking pictures.

Also, who do they actually work for?

as their salary comes from our communal fee then technically they work for us?

yet when you ask them to do something they are often very reluctant and slow.

it's all quite confusing and I am looking for a little clarity as to what their actual purpose is and who they answer to.

thanks.

bob.

Most of them are hired from big security firms who pay their salaries. They don't work for you and are not required to do any work for you.

One of those big security firms is a long-time customer of us and I know quite a few of their customers.

Think you are the stupid one in this case.

so where does the money come from to pay their salaries?

does the money come from the resident's pockets, the project developer's pockets or the security firm's pockets???

The people / company owning the building. When you rent, it is part of the rent.  When you bought it is part of service costs for communal services like cleaning, elevators, pool, .....

You as an individual employ nobody and aren't their boss.

So it comes from MY pockets then, as I am the one who pays the annual communal fee, which in turn pays the security guards salary..

So they DO work for me.

are you braindead or what?

Apparently, you have little understanding how employer / employee relations work. Better have some more drinks and look for a massage girl.

To dumb it down for you; you pay taxes but aren't the boss of government employees.

...so are you suggesting that, other than sleeping on the job and taking pictures with their phones, security guards in Thailand are also profiling women based on their appearance/dress sense??

There is nothing even remotely 'normal' about Thai society.
