Foreigner Steals Taxi While High on Cannabis, Crashes into Lamp Post
All drugs, including alcohol, can change the moods and actions of those taking them. Some more than others and some are prone to violence because of them. All drugs include prescription drugs, which actually kill more people yearly than many other illegal drugs do. This is from doctors who don't really care enough about their patients to keep a close eye on them and how they affect their lives and bodies. I wouldn't think weed is considered totally "safe" to use, even among all the users worldwide like myself that use it daily or infrequently. Cigarettes, which are legal, kill people by the thousands yearly, and do affect moods in many. Alcohol of course kills thousands also, including in most of the fatal car accidents. Using weed occasionally isn't an addiction, nor is alcohol the same way. What others along with myself here are saying is that this man was obviously on something other than just the weed he admitted to,and or is already suffering from a mental illness, because being high on weed doesn't make people do such irrational things. Alcohol yes, along with just being someone already ":out there". Again, we are only talking about weed and not other more dangerous drugs. Marijuana has proven to have it's worth, especially among cancer patients and those with ongoing pain, and I know many people again, who use it almost daily and aren't having any problems either in their careers, driving or inter relational. In fact it helps some of them cope with stress, which is a lot worse for everyone than just having a doobie now and then. -

"And even right now there are plenty of one year "retirement visa" holders who do not have the requisite 800,000 Baht in the bank or" ah yes, any opportunity to have a go at expats... just what has this got to do with tax... geez mate... grow up, it doesn't affect you, or Thailand. -

Phuket Recognized for Leading Anti-Corruption Efforts in Thailand
No, it is saying what it is saying. phuket is stricter on many rules, prosecuting fake nominee companies etc. Phuket town is even red hot on parking tickets. It isn’t perfect but they do follow rules here more than in other provinces. Hence the recognition. -

Any advantages to retirement over marriage visa?
Less intrusive than having a tradesman enter your home to fix an issue. The appointment was arranged, they took 2 photos on the porch and did not want to enter the house. They had the 2 witnesses sign a prepared statement that we lived together at that address. 15 minutes, done and dusted. Very rare. -

GOP Urges Trump to Accept Second Debate with Harris
Of course he can't! Imagine an EX President (himself) being stiffed for $130,000 from a whore. Doesn't make him look very smart, does it! -

Harsher Penalties for "Drunk Driving and Repeat Offenders" Demanded
The yearly agenda: - no intercourse on Valentine's Day for teenagers - no booze on Buddhist days - no drunk people during Songkran - decent (i.e. conservative) dressing during Songkran (see the dressing code for nuns during Stone Age) - no drunk people on Loy Krathong - no drunk people on New Year's Eve - no drunk driving - no gambling - no prostitution - no tips (better known as bribes) If you throw the entire list out, fine a first time offender on the booze with a seriously juicy fine of 20,000 Baht or more (that's what they take in Pattaya from foreigners, if the latter wants to avoid a police report and subsequent court hearing). Repetition of the same = impound the vehicle and release it at 50,000 Baht after a month. Revenue for social welfare (flood victims in Chiang Rai etc. spring to mind). Legalize gambling = brings tax money into the state's coffers and keeps those sticky fingers from the corruption till. Legalize prostitution = will de-criminalize it and Somchai the Police Man goes empty without "beer money" or more "Tips" or corruption, name the culprit publicly with photos and personal details all over the media, ban them for life from any governmental job after they served six months with the compliments of the Department of Corrections. But after all these years I know, that the very same list will appear in each and every year to come - for the time being guaranteed! -
