You may not be a child - neither am I - but imo it is childish - naive at best - to imply that winning is unimportant when it comes to war: Whatever the eventual outcome of this war, there will have been human, economic and political costs for both sides, however, one side will lose more than the other. This will not be a 'forever' war. At some point, one side will back down. When will that be? I have no idea. Do I think that NATO troops should be deployed on the ground? Frankly, I don't know. (Limited) nuclear war? I suppose that it is possible. MAD? Imo extremely unlikely. Economics undoubtedly plays a part in wars and - if the apparent military stalemate continues - economics will probably dictate when this war ends. From the West's perspective, should we consider that stage to have already been reached? Imo, no. The implication that the only consequence of submitting to Russian demands wrt Ukraine will be the latter replacing one corrupt leadership with another is naive. A Russian victory in Ukraine will have lasting and widespread repercussions. There will be a change in the balance of power in Europe. Putin believes that Russia's 'sphere of influence' extends to its' neighbouring states. Putin will be emboldened and may start to make demands of the Baltic States. What then? And what of the wider implications? A victory for Russia is a de facto defeat for the US. Do you not think that China is looking on with interest and evaluating what implications this might have for their actions in Taiwan/ the South China Sea. War is bad. It should be avoided. However, unfortunately sometimes it is necessary. -

Taking anything is 'bad for you'.....at the end of the day it is a balancing act. I have been taking a medicine for nearly 20 years now that has a recommendation you take for no longer than a couple of months. I would have faced a life of perpetual pain without it. I hate taking it, but its effects are amazing. As for YouTubing stuff.....that is a dark rabbit hole to go down......listen to a body of professionals.....even if it is eventually shown they are wrong you are still getting the best advice available at the time. -

Birth certificate and divorce document
When I had my daughter's birth certificate translated, we could use a normal translator. Thereafter the translation was legalized by the Thai Foreign Ministry in Bangkok. It could be done as same day service, and there are translators available in same building. Otherwise legalized documents can be send as EMS. You already has an official translation of the children's names, as it is used in their Thai passports. When leaving Thailand you would need a certificate from the amphor district office, where the mother permits you to take the children out of Thailand. The mother needs to be present at the amphor office to have the document issued. The children will leave Thailand on their Thai passports, as (or if) they have not entered on a UK-passport. There is a sample of my letter below; however, I was never asked to show it, and my daughter has my family name and was 13 years old when I first time travelled abroad with her, but the immigration officer asked her some questions in Thai when we were leaving. In case an immigration officer should ask for the mother's permission and you don't have the certificate, the children might not be able to leave.
