Why do some Farang worry so much about Thailand being too =hot=?
My girlfriend says the same thing. When she goes with her tesaban for meetings in other cities, she doesn't like the AC in the hotels, but she'll sleep with only a fan and complain that it's hot and she sweats. Thais are used to bad living conditions because many cannot afford better. They'll eat with flies landing on their food outside and not try and take care of that problem. Build a sala to shade from the sun for a lunch break and endure the same things. -

If you understood other languages, and lived amongst other nationalities, you would see that everyone on earth complains. Complaining is how things bad are changed. Complacency is how they stay the same, and how evil is allowed to prosper. -

Baht's Biggest Surge Since 1998 Poses Risk to Tourism And Exports
Fuel costs are heavily regulated in Thailand. There is a Fuel Subsidy Fund (FSF) operated by the government which regulates the price. When oil import costs are high, the FSF subsidises the costs, when the cost of oil is low, the FSF claws back some of the subsidy. -

Definitely preferred the early 2000s when it was over 40 THB to 1 USD. Those were very good times. -

They already fear the people, hence the militarisation of the police in the US. They know that if the populace ever rebels it'll be them or the people that survive. The UK cops were compromised by Thatcher, IMO, when she made them suppress the workers ( I wonder if it's safe for a cop to live in an ex mining community today? ). Alas, I doubt I'll be alive to see it when it kicks off. -

According to the Small Arms Survey of 2017, Thailand boasts the highest civilian firearm ownership among ASEAN member states with 10.3 million guns. It also has the highest rate of civilian firearms per 100 people — 15.1. Of the 10.3 million guns recorded by the SAS in 2017, only around 6.2 million were legally registered. The other 4 million guns they do not know who owns them. Civilian firearm ownership in Thailand is 10 times higher than its military holdings and approximately 45 times that of law enforcement. -
