Why Did Timothy Leary HAVE to Die?

Dear Folks,

Does anyone here know much about Timothy Leary?

If so, then, does anyone here have any opinions about WHY Timothy Leary HAD to die?

And, was Timothy just about the Greatest Psychologist that ever LIVED?

What made Tim so special that anyone might wish to write a song about him??

I mean:  Certainly, he does not LOOK like much.....maybe.....back in the year.... 1970.

Those were the days when chicks were really HOT.

Maybe you recall what it FELT like to be alive and a teen in the year...

1968.

I would give a LOT to return to 1969, or 1970, and have a toke.

But, I ain't toking no more.

I must protect my brain from....

Who knows what, and....

For what, I know not what.....

Those MOODY BLUES....

In fact, they are hard to top, too.

And now.....

Just forgot what I was going to say next....

Maybe I will add it later....

Best regards,

And better regards....to some here.

He had to die because that's the fate of everyone. He died from prostate cancer at 76. Him and his wife were alcoholics.  He experimented with psychedelics after going to Mexico and trying Psilocybin mushrooms. After this he took LSD and others and convinced others to do the same, as he felt they would help some. They do have you use your mind more, and do help some people with mental issues and anger. Many of his patients didn't return to crime after they were released. ...........................

"But, I ain't toking no more.

I remember watching a documentary yonks ago about the psychedelic era in the US. Leary featured heavily in it.

Wasn't it he who coined the line that summed up the culture - 'Turn on, tune in, and drop out'?

But the one thing I remember most about the documentary - even after all these years - was Leary's final words to camera when intercepted on a New York street for a comment.

He was asked something about 'the end of the hippy culture'. His response was "I never liked hippies anyway" - fade to black....

Thank you for your reply to me, Sir.

As we both recall....

When I first began posting on TV's Farang Pub....quite some time ago....

You didn't pay me no mind.

Now, sometimes, on rare occasions....

You seem to deign to acknowledge my existence here....

So, I must thank you for this.

Best regards,
