You really have to be a 'winner' to get younger attractive women in the USA these days as a man over 50. Sometimes I felt like I needed to be a famous artist or rock star when I was there to have that scene. Every date felt like a job interview that started before we even met. Prolonged texting and messages and asking someone out had an element of trepidation to it. I felt like I was competing with millionaires when I lived in the SF Bay Area. Once in awhile I met someone with spontaniety and genuine fun, but it was relatively rare. Women don't seem to trust guys and open up well where I'm from. I'm not really sure what they are looking for. -

Expat Taxation - Does anyone really know what's going on?
I'm property of the US government. All my income - foreign, domestic, inter-dimensional - is subject to taxation. I'm not getting away with anything, not avoiding taxes. I file every year, and follow the IRS rules. There was another thread today where Malaysia had refused to allow 39 of their citizens to leave the country to enter Thailand, many due to unpaid taxes. So, yeah, they can stop you if they want to. I'll cover my butt by filing a return online every year. Takes ten minutes or so, just another paper drill to live overseas like filing the annual FBAR. -

AIS App not loading.
Thank you for this. A big clue, as I have Avast, which uses exactly the same engine as AVG. I have found a solution which works with Avast, and will probably work with AVG too. If you revoke all of the antivirus app's permissions in the Accessibility menu (Settings > Accessibility > Installed apps) then the AIS app loads quite smoothly. This accessibility permission is required by Avast/AVG to run the Web Shield function which checks out internet connections, links etc. It seems that Avast and AVG (maybe others) are not allowing MyAIS to connect to the net. Make sure you restore the permission after you have finished. Your AV app needs it. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
I got my DTV eVisa within hours of submitting the application online. This is through the same consulate (Canada) that usually took at least 10-15 days when I applied for the tourist visa. YMMV. I applied in the workcation category. The document submitted was a cover letter on business letterhead stating my business name and website URL, and a list of included documents. The included documents were my business registration, website screenshot, domain renewal receipt (to prove I own the website), and a billing report showing active customers by country. Probably more than needed but I didn't want to leave anything to chance. For the 500k baht requirement I submitted my latest monthly bank statement. For the proof of current residence I submitted an image of my drivers license. -

What "conclusion" has ANYONE come to from your posts, ZERO. Who are you to make a call on "value" on posts on a topic on any threads? Every post has some value to some member, because there are so many members. Sometimes it may be no more value than a little humor. Where do you get off talking for the masses?
