Chinese Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport For Using Other Person’s Passport

Phuket – A Chinese woman was arrested at the Phuket International Airport after she was found using another person’s passport.

The Phuket Immigration at the airport told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (September 22nd) they arrested the 38 year-old Chinese woman at the international arrival terminal in the airport.

 

She presented another person’s passport to the immigration officer on duty.

 

She was taken to the Sakoo Police Station to face charges of illegally using other people’s passports.

The Chinese government prosecutes people for crimes committed outside the country. Thai immigration may or may not prosecute but China will.

It seems to me the Chinese are the most untrustworthy race in SEA, even more than Thais.

The article doesn't say what nationality passport she was using.  Nor does it say what her travel plans were.  It could have been a "simple" attempt to use someone's passport to enter Thailand for a holiday, or it could have been an attempt to use Phuket/Thailand as a transit point to another country.  If she was attempting to travel on, perhaps to Europe, UK, USA, etc, then she might have presented a passport and, possibly, other documentation that might have gained her entry to that other country.  Chinese impostors, or "look - alikes" often use a passport of countries that don't require an entry visa for maybe the UK - Malaysian, Singaporean, South Korean, etc.  The problem they often have is that many of these impostors don't speak any language other than Chinese, whereas a Malaysian, etc for instance, would normally speak or understand a little English usually.  So  if they are asked questions by immigration, in English, or Malay, or whatever, then they drop themselves in the merde as they can't understand or answer. If that was the case with this lady, then she probably wasn't traveling alone, as she would normally have a "minder" to answer questions.  But, there again, she might just have borrowed a friend's passport to have a lovely holiday in Phuket.

in their Chinese kibbutz there's a bunch of ready-to-go passports. Grab one and fly wherever you fancy. Nobody cares,

It was the second time IO actually applied that recognition technic to those particular tourists and found certain differences.

First years I got the similar problem with Thais.

A Chinese woman managed to enter Japan illegally by having plastic surgery to alter her fingerprints, thus fooling immigration controls, police claim.

xxxxxxxxx, 27, had previously been deported from Japan for overstaying her visa. She was only discovered when she was arrested on separate charges.

Tokyo police said she had paid $15,000 (£9,000) to have the surgery in China.

It is Japan's first case of alleged biometric fraud, but police believe the practice may be widespread.

Did you read the link I posted ?     Obviously,  it was  a different story and a different  woman ,  It's right there in the first paragraph.  Do you really understand the meaning  the word  "coincidence"  or  the word "situation"  Next time I'll use smaller words to make it easier for you to comprehend.    OK ? 

 

 

Definitions

Coincidence:    a remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection.

Situation:         a set of circumstances in which one finds oneself; a state of affairs

 

 

If the two women were in the same situation. It  does not mean they are the same person.

I really don't think anybody who understands the meaning of the word could make the mistake of thinking I said  it was the same person.

      The big question remains as to why would someone take the risk of arrest to enter Thailand illegally, when that person  has the means to do so with their own legal documents. 
 My take on at least one of the  failed attempts , is that someone or some organization is sending people to probe for weaknesses in the system  .Thai  Law Enforcement  should allow the fakers to reach their final destination to find out who they contact or interact with before officially arresting them for the illegal entry . If that is  possible  . Otherwise , these  stories are bound to keep showing up in the news.

Simple explanation.

 

She was part of a large zero-dollar tour group, with hundreds of tourists traveling via bus convoy.

 

Tour guides hold on to passports to keep the tourists from leaving before visiting the selected factories.

 

Obviously the tour guide mixed up the passports when handing them back.  Easy to do with 1.45 million citizens and only 100 common family names.
