Paranoid much? Nobody that I know is taking about Ukraine being absorbed into Russia. But to end the war, they might have to give up some territory. Otherwise the game isn't worth the cost. Ukraine is not worth one drop of NATO blood.  And keeping them fighting and dying, just to bleed the Russian military, when there is no practical end sccenario is cruel.

Well the people in Poland believe that Russia will likely invade their country. Finland and the Baltic states are equally wary of imminent Russia invasion. It’s only NATO that likely impede Russia ambition.
