There's a roller coaster, and something that looks a bit like a ferris wheel, that I've seen next to the outer ring road near Fashion Island. (and there's lights on it at night).

The road signs have been up for a while saying it's "Wonder World", but I've seen no information for when it's going to open.

Anybody know?

Thanks.

I've gone past and the car park always seems empty, and there is a lot of construction around it, so thought it was still closed, especially as I never saw cars moving on the roller-coaster (but the roller-coaster is on that page as one of the rides "coming soon", so that might explain it).

I might give it a try tomorrow (going to Fashion Island anyway).

Have now been, and it is "open". It appears to open at 2pm.

However, it's very like a ghost town (at least, it was on Thursday afternoon). It was empty. Until I bought the tickets for the Ferris Wheel, I was still unsure if it was actually open.

That's possibly to do with the lack of rides so far, and I think the signs in Thai say that the restaurants open at 5pm, so it might get busier in the evening. (Most signs are only in Thai, but at least on the one sign in both Thai and English, the prices are the same for Thais and foreigners...)

The rollercoaster looks like it will be quite good (once it opens) - no loops or anything, but it appears longer than the one at Dreamworld. But we literally just did the Ferris Wheel. (my daughter's too young for the go-karts, or the tower drop and tower shot rides, and there isn't much else there yet. and she's probably too young for the rollercoaster if it had been open.)

They don't have the space to grow to be the same size as Dreamworld, and they don't seem to be aiming at little kids (more teenagers, I think). Just based on what rides they have, although there is the ball house play area inside, like you get in shopping malls.

I think it'll be a more interesting place to go once other rides start to open. Or for teenagers if you're in the area - the go-karts, and the tower rides would be more suitable. There's no queueing just now. (my daughter and I were the only ones on the Ferris Wheel).

One thing I noticed - it appears to be owned by the people that own the Pattaya water park (which I've never been to, so no idea if it's similar).

Ditto what Mike said. I went last Monday (arrived at 1:50 - nothing open). Not much to do there really (with 4 and a 5 year olds). The kids little ferris wheel and carousel where right out in the sun so the wee ones were sweating when the rides finished. Won't go back there until there are more rides available. The big wheel and rollercoaster looked really well made. Strong. As Mike said - maybe it's an evening venue for older kids.
