After the republican primaries, those same people went back to the voter registrars and registered as a democrat again. " -

Taxi from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Yasothon
Thanks for the update. Sounds like a bit of a nightmare to be honest. I suppose it makes a change from a breakneck speed driver. I am considering getting a taxi in the not too distant future from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Nakhon Ratchasima and not sure of the best option. I appreciate it is a shorter distance but could still be quite a journey based on your experience. -

It seems that burning gas must have been able to enter freely the cab of the bus. Which from the photos does not appear to be badly crumpled by its impact with the barrier. I am guessing that reducing the potential for similar accidents in the future requires giving attention to this problem: ensuring there is as little chance as possible that gas escaping from a severed pipe can enter the cab. -

2014 sells for 200-300K now. So you its probably depreciated about 50% in 10 year...not too shabby! You can sell a vios any day of the week...well, in the past you could. But the market is depressed at the moment. People just aren't buying cars at the moment. -

Manual gear new cars
When you have learnt to drive in a manual car, changing gear often is never an issue. It is happens without thinking. I learnt to drive a manual car more than 50 years ago. All of my cars have been manual ones but I have also driven hundreds or rental/company automatic cars. Floods and steep hills, manual is much better. (Very hilly where I live.) It is called clutch control. Not an option in automatic cars. Overtaking? Dropping a gear is quicker in a manual (and you can choose the gear)- 1

You have highlighted yet another problem with the FPTP system. Not only does it return a government which fails to win a majority of the votes cast, many (most?) of the individual MPs have the support of less than 50% of their constituants: The system is inherently flawed and undemocratic. Had the election been run under PR, the UK would probably now have a coalition government comprising of Labour, Lib-Dems and the Greens. No way of knowing, of course, but I doubt that the Winter Fuel cut (and subsequent debacle) would have happened in those circumstances. -

Like others on this thread you are looking around to blame some Thai person so you don't actually have to think about what actually happened and why. Why is it that people who cling to racist philosophies so tightly spend so much time claiming they aren't racist? -

Manual gear new cars
I haven't bought a new car for a while, but when I did, manual was not advertised as an option. However, on talking to the sales rep, I could and did order a manual version. Delivery took a while. It was a Mitsubishi. Great car.- 1
