Police in Pattaya were called to a local hotel after a Thai female guest refused to leave her room upon the expiration of her rental period. The woman, under the influence of drugs, locked herself in the hotel bathroom, prompting a 30-minute negotiation before she was apprehended. Authorities discovered cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the room.

The incident occurred on October 4, when officers from Pattaya City Police Station, along with municipal officials from the Public Order Division, were summoned to the scene after the hotel’s staff reported the disturbance. The female guest, who had rented a room for five days, refused to vacate when her stay ended, barricading herself in the bathroom.

Hotel employees had attempted to convince her to leave but were unsuccessful. The woman grew increasingly agitated, yelling and screaming inside the bathroom. After 30 minutes of negotiations failed to calm her down, officials called in a locksmith to unlock the bathroom door, allowing them to enter and arrest her.

The woman appeared disoriented and was unresponsive to questioning, exhibiting signs of drug use. Authorities found cannabis and a smoking device in the room. Initial reports suggest the woman had violated several hotel rules during her stay, including drug use, and had become aggressive when asked to leave.

She was taken to Pattaya City Police Station to calm down, and her family has been contacted to collect her from police custody.

the woman had violated several hotel rules

Over the many years I've had to throw one or two out, it is not an easy task, stubborn, strong little things they are.

Yep, same here, in the bedroom rules were broken, non compliant.

Next time I'll call in the officials.
