Has any American here started Medicare, Stopped it, then started it again?
I am on US Medicare. Crazy how they do the IRMAA and premiums so I am considering dis enrolling, spending a year or a bit more in THailand, then returning to the USA and restarting Medicare. I know there may e a 10% surcharge for each year one doesn't get Part B when first eligible, but I got no firm answers today when chatting with Medicare about exact time frames, if part of a year is prorated, etc. They just do not handle non standard questions well from their playbooks. Any experience comments appreciated -

USA Supreme Court Greenlights Trump’s Third-Country Deportations Amid Fierce Backlash
I'm sure the Murikkkan taxpayer is footing the bill to finance the deportations, whether over or under the table. Stocks SKYROCKETED for penal institutions as soon as this election was over, knowing the direction for mass incarcerations was coming. You have to keep the citizens in a constant state of fear in order to control them. Autocratic handbook 101. -

Politics Thaksin's Cambodia Concerns Stir Political Pot
File photo courtesy of Facebook sorrayuth9115 Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra expresses uncertainty over Cambodia ties, says Jakrapob Penkair. Jakrapob Penkair, a former minister, revealed Thaksin Shinawatra’s hesitation about the current Thai-Cambodian relations on Nation TV. Amid questions over Thaksin’s muted involvement in the bilateral issue and his daughter, PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s challenges with a leaked audio involving Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen, doubts have surfaced. Jakrapob recounted a private meeting with Thaksin at his Bangkok residence, Ban Chan Song La. The meeting, hastily arranged on a Saturday afternoon, was prompted by Jakrapob's desire to understand Thaksin’s stance on the diplomatic tension and his personal bond with Hun Sen. Their conversation centred on the strains in Thai-Cambodian relations and the Shinawatra family’s political dynamics. Jakrapob’s insights come at a critical time as the public and political circles closely watch Thaksin’s next steps in this high-stakes game. Thaksin’s relationship with Hun Sen is notably strained, marking a shift in what once seemed an unwavering alliance. As political temperature rises, stakeholders await responses and resolutions that could impact regional diplomacy. Adapted by ASEAN Now from The Nation 2025-06-25
