How to deal with a conflict with monkeys?
Yeah and after you miss your first shot a first monkey jumps you, you then drop it, the other monkey now grabs the sling slot and reloads, BAMM. -

What was your job (profession) when you moved to Thailand
I did that for a while I met some famous people, I lived in an area with many large expensive houses, would take a whole day just to clean the outside. One of the nicest guys I met was Winsor Davis from it aint 'alf hot mum. Brought me a pot of tea and biscuits, and sat with me chatting one of the good guys. -

Affordable Self Storage In Bangkok?
If you are staying at a hotel and plan to return to the same hotel, can't you just 'leave a bag' with 'left luggage' at the hotel ? I've done this in numerous countries... leave a bag of kit I don't need there for a weeks / month etc and pick it up later (though never valuables and not in Thailand). -

Where can I find a very competent watchmaker? Not a battery changer.
Mr. Jacks' on Soi Buakhow Just before it meets Central Pattaya Rd (Pattaya Klang) is more well known for sales but can do watch smith work. Downside is highest prices of the three different shops I have used in Pattaya. The shop on South Pattaya Rd (Pattaya Tai) has the best prices of the places I've been to but also the least competent. Not terrible, but not great either. For simple repairs or battery changes he was ok. The shop I would recommend is Bombs Watch Repair Shop in South Pattaya on Soi Khopai. Better prices and quicker than than Mr. Jacks. It is a one man shop and he is often not open during the hours stated on his facebook page. Late afternoon is usually a good time to go or just call first. Bombs Watch Repair Shop -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
I'm sorry I missed that, I thought you were talking about the credit card usage & not the paying for it part... Yes, it all depends on the source of the funds you use to pay the card debt off, (IMHO) it's no different to you sending yourself that money to purchase the goods/service. I recall another video (Retired Working for You) where a(n apparently) very respected Foreign "Tax Attorney" stated categorically that only funds "Repatriated" to Thailand would be subject to tax (ATM, Credit card etc... were Tax Free). I really suggest the "Expert" looks up the definition of "Repatriated" as I don't know about anybody else but all of the money I bring into Thailand is Expatriated (& according to him Free of Tax). Just got the parents a cracking flight deal for them to come over for a month in Jan, Booked in the UK & paid for on my UK credit card, IMHO absolutely not remitted income 🙂 -

Heavy rainfall expected tomorrow in 27 provinces, warnings issued
Never seen that many cloudy + rainy duration days and season in 12+ years here up north. Almost depressing at this stage. At least in BKK it usually just comes in hard and then is gone again, to repeat that 2-3 times a day. Makes the place even less interesting assuming this is likely going to happen more in the coming years. Knowing that the super hot months following by a burning season already ruin many months of the year too. -

Oklahoma’s Controversial Plan to Purchase 55,000 Bibles for Public Schools
I have little doubt that we would find reason to agree, however, I ask you to reflect on the fact that religious teachings heavily influenced the history of the USA and still does to this day. I tell you this only due to my having studied and taught European and American History as my life's work. I will spare both of us the vast documented materials supporting this.
