If Trump wins it will only occur because of the Electoral College.  He will not win the "majority" of votes for President.

Is this an indication that Dems are beginning to accept that Trump is going to win come November 5 ?

Your fantasies are overpowering your reasoning abilities which is the root cause of your straw clutching tendency.

They are already voting for Kamala. There is no significant shift.

In special elections after 2022 midterms, Democrats consistently outperformed the polls. Their outsized turnout was credited to the Dobbs decision. We'll have to wait and see what effect it has on the 2024 elections.

They are switching over to VP Harris but don't dare admit it for fear of retribution from their husbands.

The real silent majority in this election may well be lots of "republican" women who are married to taliban like maga morons that will smile and say "yes dear" then vote dem.  Good for them.

You sure about that?

Does the Democratic post Dobbs special election overperforming apply to the presidential election?

First, let's note the trend. Democratic Party candidates have outperformed polls in 58 special elections by an average of 3.8 percentage points ...

But as Daily Kos Elections Contributing Editor Daniel Donner has researched extensively historically, there has been a strong correlation between special election results taken in aggregate and general elections for the US House in November of the even-numbered year. Now, maybe this year is going to be an outlier, or maybe that historical correlation will simply come to an end, but at this point, there are going to be almost no more special elections between now and November.
