Where are getting only 21.73? You said you were in Pattaya and that's way below what the money booths give you

There were 2 booths that look the same in Jomtiem 150 metres apart the other day. One 22 One 21. Worth a walk. But  last trip it was 24 so not the best.

Did you go to a bank exchange as 21.73 is the exact rate Krungsri Bank offered for A$ cash yesterday. Meanwhile TT Exchange was 22.05 here in Pattaya, which is why no-one should use the bank exchanges

No sure about 100, but 200 will get you a visit at the local doctors clinic.

How many of the local doctors have you annoyed recently?

Spend up Georgie, you're on holidays. 💲💲💲

The farang doctor charges 1000 baht

No matter what you get at the exchange booth, in many cities like Bangkok, Hua Hin or Phuket, the prices are purely ripoffs in most restaurants, shopping malls or various home maintenance services - falang special rate of course. Hopefully, it still remains civil in remonte villages...?

The tenants in tourist areas have to pass on Thai Landlord "ripoff" rents to their customers.  It's been going on for some years.  It's the reason Thailand is slowly out pricing itself in the South East Asia tourism market.

They have been pumping up the tourist numbers with cheap Chinese and Indian package holiday tourists, but the "spend" is down, despite the large numbers.

Then, there was cannabis, working quite well, but only a niche market.

Then, there was / is the taxing of remitted funds of expats.  just another revenue stream by milking the farang cow even more.

Next will be casinos.  Only a matter of time.

Money Number One here.
