Strange, the window for online reporting is either 15 days before to 7 days before, or 15 days before to the due date (depends on who you believe, lol) But there is no provision for reporting late online, only in person.

yes, i was annoyed that i'd missed it and had to pay a fine at immigration, but i thought i'd give it a try online and it went through. i am not exactly sure how long, maybe 10 days over.

Not suggesting your experience not true.

However it was an anomaly.

Never happens.

The OP should attend immigration on Monday as he is still within "grace period" for in person reporting.

OR skip it and wait till next time he needs to attend immigration office.

Fine will be 2k.

Does not accumulate.

Unless they get arrested.

Yes, but all online applications go through the office you are registered to report at hence the question which office allowed you to do an online 90 day late "maybe 10 days over" as you said.

i didnt know that. i thought online was just nationwide system.

address is Phangan, Surat.

i don't remember the exact days eithe, it was over 7 because i was annoyed with myself for now having a fine. but someone else said it's unusual, so doubting myself now.

I prefer to believe immigration themselves. I took this picture myself of a sign at CW.

That's CW and perhaps only applicable there.

My IO still use this;

I file on the first day I can.  Same with annual extensions.  There is more time to deal with "unexpected problems," that way.

One does not need to do anything wrong to have "unexpected problems" - things change / break / etc w/o warning.  That said, checking in here can minimize surprises, which will usually hit someone else in the backside, first.

It's a nationwide automated system, but sends the applications to your individual Immigration office for approval.
An IO at your office manually approves or rejects your application.

I file my 90 day on the last possible day, otherwise I'm reporting less than every 90 days.
If rejected, which the last 4 out of 6 have been, then it's only a 10-minute drive to file in person.
Obviously a PITA if you're an hour's drive away.

I apply for my annual extension 30–45 days before the due date, as the new extension is dated from expiry of the previous extension.

Being 10 minute drive that's an option for in person.

I also have had bad experience re online reporting CW.

For others with far more difficult in person reporting (travel, mobility etc) I'm surprised folk don't report via mail option.

Note for others....unlike online reporting reports via mail do not lose days.

With mail reporting the new report day is 90 from current due date not from when you post it.

If you miss a 90-day report, just wait and pay the fine when you do your next extension. In fact, some people I know never do a 90-day report and simply pay the fine before they renew. It's never a problem.

so, if this people don't do the 90-day report 4 times in one year, they will have to pay a fine of 4 x 2,000 thb!!!

you seem to know some unusual and very clever people ...  :cheesy:

for most people of us, it's best to follow the rules and not ignore them, especially if you plan to live in thailand long-term.

True however online reporting has proven to be problematic for many.

Fo some folk access to immigration is not simple due to distance and the size of office eg CW .

Not to mention mobility issues etc.

There does exist mail option.

BTW: The max fine is 2k if you skip TM47 for the year. (more if arrested on unrelated matter)

They will fine you at time of extension. Seems TM47 now required for annual extensions.

Whether you have to file 4 or only 3 times a year depends on your IO.

My office always reset the 90 day report date from the time of approving an extension application.

This means the 4th due report is within the last couple of weeks of my due extension renewal date.

As I always apply for my extension at least 30 days in advance, they remove the 90 day notification slip and tell me to forget it.

When my extension is approved (Thai spouse) they give me a new report date due 90 days after the extension date.

Effectively, I only submit 3 x 90 day reports a year.

If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.- Baht.

As I understand it, 90 days can be reported in person up to 7 days late. However, online reporting must be done prior to the due date.

Online reporting apparently works in Windows only, Immigration can't process Mac or Linux.

You're only fined 2000 no matter how many times you've missed. I didn't do a 90-day report for 14 years. Fine: 2000 baht.
