AliExpress now adds tax to Thailand?

Featured Replies

Yes, I remember that old article about taxing goods under 1500 baht, but I never thought they would actually do it.

What a disappointment.

Good it will level the field for local sellers that have to pay vat

Everything I've gotten from America in the last few months had a tax due when it arrived. least was 30 baht, highest was 600 baht depending on the value.

Bye Bye Ali Express.

Thailand is really doomed with all it's new absurd tax hassles. As if immigration hassles were already not enough to chase away people (and their money).

Time to start considering another Asian coutry or some sunny area in Spain where life can be cheaper compared to Thailand.
