Police swarmed ther home and seized computers after accusations against the man who's worked with 'some of Britain's most famous names'.

A TV soap star has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing five underage boys.  Police apparently swarmed the person's home before they arrested the actor, who cannot be named at this time, on suspicion of child sex offences.

The star - who is understood to have a major role on a TV soap - has denied the allegations and is currently on bail.  When carrying out the arrest, police also seized computers and documents while searching for evidence related to the five alleged abuses.

The Sun reported that officers visited the actor's home earlier this month following accusations of paedophilia.  The allegations date back to the 1990s when the suspect was appearing alongside some of Britain's most famous stars in a number of hit tv shows.

His family, including his partner, were left stunned by his arrest. The soap star is also understood to be shocked by the allegations. A police spokesperson said: 'A man has been arrested on suspicion of historical child sex offences involving five victims. Officers investigating allegations relating to the 1990s detained a man.

'He was arrested on suspicion of several sexual offences relating to five men who were teenage boys at the time of the alleged offending.'He has been conditionally bailed while enquiries continue.'

Len was axed from his soap persona in the early 80’s after an unusual series of events, he publicly stated to the press that his fellow co actors were “ lazy amateurs “ among other things and he was due to be suspended for 6 weeks for this when he was arrested for sexually assaulting 2 x 8 year old girls in a swimming pool.

He always professed his innocence but a journalist stated he had admitted being guilty of the offence after a couple of bottles of whiskey.

To fund his defence he sold his story to a couple of tabloid newspapers. The tv station ( Granada ) killed off his character in a car crash while returning from seeing his girlfriend, cheating on his wife Rita !

The public got behind Len and “ Thumbs up for Len Fairclough “ became a popular catchphrase of the era, many people missing the ironic dark humour !!

He never returned to soaps but continued a slightly diminished acting career, he died in 2002 of stomach cancer.

When all this was going on, we had an apprentice who went for chips etc every dinner time. I stuck a sign on his back saying, 'Len Fairclough Taught me to Swim'. He didn't know the sign was there, one of the lads followed him to the Chippy, the customer's reaction was priceless 🤣 😆

accusations of paedophilia

Clearly not paedophilia, but hebephilia.

(Paedophilia only refers to prepubescent children.  The alleged victims were teenagers.)

Counselling?

For sexually abusing underage boys?

He needs a lengthy jail sentence if guilty. Although very unlikely if he is from one of the protected groups in Keir's 2 tier Britain.

I wonder why they are keeping the name secret in this case, but not in others.

It puts multiple people under suspicion. People will be throwing names out there and no doubt getting it wrong. The name will come out eventually anyway so why make it worse with all the speculation?

I'm guessing the suspect is from one of the protected groups in 2 tier Britain.

I guess they have no hard evidence against that person, yet, so if it turns out to be a false accusation his reputation stays intact. If they find evidence, they'll release his name.

Yet they released the name of the policeman who shot Chris Kaba who now reportedly has a 10,000 pound bounty on his dead despite being found not guilty.

Even if guilty, this guy will probably get a suspended sentence like Huw Edwards. They need the jail cells for people being offensive on social media.

Wait and see...

Yes it will all come out in the end.

Just like the information about the child murderer in Southport.

Also, expecting others to use proper "international English", whatever that means, while you're incapable of neither utilizing capitalization of proper nouns nor proper punctuation and use words like "ya" is the epitome of hypocrisy!

Gentlemen, gentlemen. All this would be resolved if we were to agree that their is no such thing as "International English" or indeed any other genre - there is English and then there are mistakes.

Incidentally, it is not in "the England", it is either "England", the country, or "English" the language.
