That's just it, you don't understand how people are fed up with the 'normal routine' wars and self serving politicians, Trump offered a change.

This kind of change?

Oil and gas tycoons made significant contributions to the Trump campaign after the former president asked the industry for $1 billion to support his reelection bid — and reportedly said it would be a “deal” for them to do so.

Yes, because Harris want to cripple the fossil fuel industry.

It’s a “deal” foe the entire country.

You think that trump is not self-serving? He has proved himself to be totally corrupt, immoral, a compulsive liar, mentally unstable, and he has proved himself to have no respect for democracy and wants to be a dictator like Putin or Kim Jon Un. Is that the change you want? Do you want to live under a regime like Russia, North Korea,or China where you are totally controlled? When democracy  is lost,  the very nature of fascism makes it virtually impossible to get it back.

You fled Russia when the Ukraine war broke out and hope to seek asylum in the US if I remember correctly, yes?

He has not proven those things to me.

No, if I wanted a President with no respct for democracy I would vote for Harris.

If I wanted to give the government more control I would be a leftist, I want the people tonhave more control, that’s why I support Trump.

This is the wackiest thing I've ever heard.

Hitler's government had a fair bit of control over the Germany - was he a leftist?

Ditto Mussolini's government.

Ditto Pinochet's government.

And so on....

Trump is the most anti democracy presidential candidate the US has ever seen - that is a fact whether you feel that's proven or not is irrelevant.

Why do you really support Trump - have you the courage to answer that question honestly?

Trump said he would build a wall first time around plus Mexico would pay,

what happen?

The left fought him tooth and nail, and he only got ~450 miles of wall done. When Biden-Harris came into office the shut construction down. and sold the materials and components off for scrap and reopened the border.

Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy paid for it.

Thanks for asking

"America First" as Trump defines it.

As for me, the answer is "no", that was tried in 1939 and rejected.

Trump didn't bother to seek wall funding for 2 years at the start of his administration.

Harris supports mass illegal immigration, DEI, higher taxes, less accountability, and will divide the country even more.

Harris is a liar and a cheater and she hates me, and everything about me.

VP Harris had no control over the US borders. NONE. Why then do you make the false statement?

US Border laws are passed by the US Congress and they are enforced by US Homeland Security which includes the US Border Patrol. It was Trump who would not let the last bipartisan border legislation pass, legislation which have  funded additional border security assets and attacked the core reason for migration.

There are no open borders in the USA. Yes, there is a  problem with unauthorized migrants.  It is nothing new. Unauthorized entries occurred under the Trump administration just as they have under the administrations of Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, and so on. The numbers coming in are too large to stop with conventional means. There are organized gangs who transport the migrants. The people who are shouting the loudest about "illegals" refuse to accept that they are in large part the reason why those millions of people are arriving. They have had multiple options to address the issue, many more cost effective than paying for fences and  more guards. The  Bush plan was  turned down too and had it been put into effect much of the current mess could have been reduced.

A better question would be why do non Americans especially the British, seem so obsessed with American politics?

I bet 95% of Americans have no idea who the British Prime Minister even is, because it is not important they could care less.

It's because the British media think Brits are interested, it’s because Murdoch the former Australian has his own right wing agenda, it's because trump makes good tv for all the wrong reasons….. I could go on.

Look in the mirror. The answer is staring back at you.

The flow of unauthorized migrants has always been high except during the brief  Covid19 suspension. The reality is that unauthorized entries surged during the 1990's. It was a reflection of the turmoil in the latin American region and  in Haiti and Cuba. This was one of the reasons why President Bush tried to introduce immigration  reform.

The current  immigration crisis is a reflection of the  refusal of some political factions to act responsibly. Everytime an administration comes up with a solid plan, some political groups refuse to let it proceed. It is easier to blame than to take responsibility for ignorance. In President George W. Bush’s second term, two  initiatives failed. They were not perfect plans but two extremist factions in the Congressional delegations, one in the Republican and the other in the Democrat, blocked them.

The best chance to enact comprehensive reform came in 2013 during President Barack Obama’s second term, when a bipartisan group of senators dubbed the “Gang of Eight” agreed on a bill that would toughen security at the southern border and make it harder for employers to hire migrants who had entered the U.S. illegally while providing legal status and a path to citizenship for millions of such migrants who had resided in the U.S. for many years. The proposal passed the Senate 68 to 32 with strong bipartisan support. It did not enjoy the support of a majority of House Republicans, and then-Speaker John Boehner refused to bring it to floor for a vote, and the measure died. Had  the Obama plan been applied, we would not see the problems we see today.

A year ago,  a bipartisan team of senators began negotiations to produce a bill that enough members of both parties could accept to overwhelm objections from progressive Democrats and America First Republicans. The team negotiated for four months to produce this bill. It took less than four days for its support among Republicans to collapse. Why?

Donald Trump  objected.  It looks like the republicans wanted a campaign issue.  Once the House Speaker stated publicly that he would not allow the Senate bill to reach the House floor for a vote, Republican senators were unwilling to run the political risk of supporting a measure that would not become law. Thank you Donald J. Trump.

Wrong, right, only for those making more than $400,000, wrong, wrong.

Of course I do (I note you, so far, don't)

1. She's sane (kind of important quality to have)

2. She will continue to support Ukraine and wider Europe against Putin's aggression

3. She is going to put more pressure on Netanyahu than Trump will (she's the least worst option)

4. She has proposed sound pro business policies (e.g. $50,000 tax break for new business)

5. She supports (and will attempt to codify) a woman's right to choose

6. She has proposed sound home ownership policies

7. She will continue successful Biden policies (Infrastructure / Student Debt forgiveness etc..)

8. She is more likely to fix the Supreme Court situation (excessive politicisation / ethical breaches by sitting judges)

9. She will protect the Affordable Care Act (Trump wants to end it)

10. She will raise taxes on those earning above $400,000 - not those making less as trump did when he was president

11. Finally and most importantly - I believe she will concede if she loses (i.e. she believes in the constitution)

The illegal immigration debate has been pretty much resolved and the polls reflect that the currrent administration failed miserably.    So excuses at this point are moot.  Don't worry it will be fixed again soon.

1. She's sane (kind of important quality to have)

Debatable. Definitely not sharp.

2. She will continue to support Ukraine and wider Europe against Putin's aggression

Better to end the war than fund more useless bloodshed.

3. She is going to put more pressure on Netanyahu than Trump will (she's the least worst option)

I would rather she put pressure on Iran and the terrorists, and leave America's allies alone.

4. She has proposed sound pro business policies (e.g. $50,000 tax break for new business)

Racist policies.

5. She supports (and will attempt to codify) a woman's right to choose

Not her job as President. It is a states rights issue.

6. She has proposed sound home ownership policies

No she hasn't. Offering money to buyers will only drive up prices.

7. She will continue successful Biden policies (Infrastructure / Student Debt forgiveness etc..)

Debt forgiveness was ruled unconstitutional. Infrastructure is pork.

8. She is more likely to fix the Supreme Court situation (excessive politicisation / ethical breaches by sitting judges)

If she tries to pack the court, again unconstitutional and impossible. Plue egregiously unethical.

9. She will protect the Affordable Care Act (Trump wants to end it)

No he doesnt. She wants to kill private health insurance though.

10. She will raise taxes on those earning above $400,000 - not those making less as trump did when he was president

The top 1% already pay 97% of federal taxes. The problem is government spending, not revenue.

11. Finally and most importantly - I believe she will concede if she loses (i.e. she believes in the constitution)

Trump left office in 2021.
