From the Amarillo, TX court filing:
64. Because of CBS’s false, misleading, and deceptive conduct, President Trump has sustained damages in an amount greater than $75,000.00, and reasonably believed to be at least $10,000,000,000, that will be determined upon trial of this action.

(However) CBS’s distortion of the 60 Minutes Interview damaged President Trump’s fundraising and support values by several billions of dollars, particularly in Texas.

Conversely, a Trump lie could damage fundraising for Kamala Harris. This will not go well for Trump.

BTW, this is an admission by Trump that the 60 Minutes interview was good for Harris and bad for Trump.

If it looks like BS, and it's said by a biased organisation, likely it is BS.

I wish Trump success in his endeavor to give her a bit of what he's been getting re the so called justice system.

Even if he does not win the court case, the publicity will ensure the voters know the sort of IMO devious and scurrilous shenanigans the anti Trumpers resort to.

It exposes the MSM hypocrisy, similar to the circular reporting of Russia Russia , 51former agents and the dreaded laptop from hell  and Biden demonstrated mental failings, from elections past.

The storied Msm is nothing but corporate media heads supporting

the Left!

I can think of a lot of his adversaries that should be praying for Trump to win next week.  Because if he's president, he won't have as much spare time to sue the people who have defamed, attacked, and literally incited assassins to shoot at him.

If they can sue $1 billion out of Alex Jones for hurt feelings, what's a bullet to the ear worth?

Whatever the merits of the case under Texas law, this is clearly a case of venue shopping:

No doubt.  File that under "2 can play at that game".

The case could have been filed in any Texas city that had a CBS affiliate who broadcast the 60 Minutes Harris interview.

That they chose Amarillo was strictly because they knew for certain the judge to whom their case would be assigned.

Fox or Newsmax never edited an interview to remove embarassing bits for Trump...

https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/24/media/fox-news-edit-trump-barbershop-interview/index.html

Fox News edited Trump’s rambling answers and false claims in barbershop interview, full video shows.

New YorkCNN —

The Fox News Channel’s recent segment about Donald Trump’s “surprise” visit to a barbershop in the Bronx resembled a campaign ad for the former president’s reelection.

Trump was seen taking questions and making small talk with Black and Hispanic barbershop customers and workers, some of whom were wearing “Make Barbers Great Again” shirts. The visit was part of “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones’ ongoing barbershop interview series.

But the version of the visit shown on television was, to borrow a hairstyle metaphor, a crop cut. Fox edited out many of Trump’s rambling comments and false claims. Participants had to repeatedly follow up when Trump meandered away from the original point of their questions.

I don’t think he’s got much time left all, I give him 6 months after the election.

If he wins JD Vance will roll out the 25th Amendment, if he loses he’ll present his obvious health problems as a defense against being sent to prison.

Are there any Trumpers here who will complain if Trump uses health issues in his criminal cases?

The difference, of course, is that Vance will pull that trigger if it's called for.  The Dems?  They covered up for Biden for over 3 years.

To this day (and until mid January), the US has a functionally deficient president.  And it shows in the chaos around the world.

I question the timing myself.  But there's a bigger game afoot than I'll ever know about.

Judge Cannon in Florida has been reversed by the Appeals Court in Atlanta.

Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in Amarillo TX has the distinction of being reversed by the US Supreme Court in Washington DC:

On April 21, 2023, a majority of the Supreme Court of the United States, without comment, voted to indefinitely implement an emergency stay all the restrictions against mifepristone while the lawsuit continued in the lower courts.

The court issued its unanimous decision on June 13, 2024, ruling that the Alliance lacked standing to challenge the FDA's approval or rule making. The decision reversed the Fifth Circuit ruling and lifted the injunction.

Not denying Trump’s obvious health issues then?!

Former President Donald Trump has launched a $10 billion lawsuit

How about Trump should give every American just 1$ for every lie which he told in public?

I think that would be a great idea and certainly win/win.

That's the great MAGA delusion, believing that Trump ,is going to sue anybody or that the retribution is anything other than red meat for the base.
