My facebook was hacked and in my misguided efforts to recover my FB account I have done something to windows 11 that makes a 'normal' windows recovery not work.

 

(FB is still not right but I have given up for now)

 

On the final screen there is an option to reinstall windows with or without apps and data removed.  This is after the auto repair in all its variations have been exhausted.

 

I imagine wifi is not connected and don't know if that has affected the repair and/or the reinstall option. 

 

There is no usb boot available and my efforts to enable it have failed (numerous YT methods tried).

 

I could buy a code for win 11 from Lazada for <500B but don't know how I could install it w/o functioning wifi or usb.

 

I live in rural Buriram Province, Isaan btw so IT shops are a rarity here.

To enable USB Boot, you need to set up a Supervisor password for the BIOS and then make sure to place the USB drive into the right port.

If you are going to reload Windows have a look at X-Lite Windows.  Very good it is.

What are you doing in the bios lol?!

 

Boot into safe, select whatever.. reinstall. Reinstall scratch, reformat / portion drive (just follow prompts).

 

Download your keys and all important data prior.

 

If it's pirate or old non tpm machine try new release tiny11

Thank you very much for comments.  I did find a local shop who installed win 11 for me and I lost the files on the computer.  Not so bad as important stuff is on Drive or Photos in a cloud.

 

Still, not accepting a password, then changing it, then some parts of the system don't seem to get the new password so the whole recovery process starts again.

 

This 2 stage verification is good if it is a phone number or email, but using a number generating app has not worked with FaceBook.  I have only partially recovered that account and cannot be bothered any more.

After you get your windows OS reinstalled, download Belarc Advisor and run it, then print out the results. 

 

You will have the the software license keys to the windows operating system, product keys, software license numbers and , serial numbers ( I think) etc.   

 

DO NOT, publish the results on the internet.   Yes, people have done that and have problems later.
