Democrat is not a name of any species and is therefore not a creature

Perhaps there is a sub species of Homo Sapiens where people that believe HRC, Biden and Harris are actually capable of being a good POTUS can be filed.

Seriously, I know you are "upset" that your cult leader lost to the worst man on the planet, but there is more to be exercised about than someone saying humans that are Democrats are a species.

Quite probably true. In an ideal world for the Democrats, Biden would have announced he was not running for re-election a year ago. That would have given them time for a real primary contest, which Harris again may have lost. Had they chosen a sane candidate like Josh Shapiro, it would have been a lot closer, if not a different result.

But they were prisoners of their own ideology and pride.  The idea was "anyone can beat Trump, except Biden". So they screwed up, picked a rather feckless candidate, and got smoked. Time to live and learn.

Trump called it 100% right after the debate where Biden self destructed, when he was filmed in his golf cart.

I will paraphrase Trump. "They're gonna dump Joe and choose Kamala. That's great news. She's so f'in bad. So bad".

Nostradamus levels of predictions. :clap2:

I think you miss the point of what Churchill was saying. I had a similar life full of adventure, but ended up living a boring life ( why else would I be on here? ), and have no problem leaving it behind. His "all" would apply to his present circumstances, and not his life prior.

Yes, so despite his life history it has come down to this, boring. When you're dying nothing has any meaning, past triumphs and disasters fade into nothingness which is why I prefer detachment to life's events, waves rise and they fall and rise again, nothing has permanence, events have only the meaning we subjectively attach to them, in and of themselves they mean nothing, a rice farmer in Thailand couldn't care less who is president, a worker in America may find it important, just subjective interpretations.

Whatever might be the liberal melt-down on here, I am glad that AN provides a space for the MAGA melt-up (if that's a word) rather than my being back in Florida in a county that went 80+ % for Trump this election and having some guy in line at WalMart ask me:

So whodja vote for?

And where I live in the Isaan boondocks ain't anyone gonna ask Whodja vote for.

And in the "When given lemons, make lemonade" department, at least for now, today's NY Times headline:

** Stocks Set Records and Dollar Soars After Trump Election Win **

In other news, George W. Bush is a rare voice of sanity. His statement on the election was gracious and well written;

I congratulate President Trump on his election as 47th President of the United States of America, as well as Vice President-elect J.D. Vance and their families.

I also thank President Biden and Vice President Harris for their service to our country.

The strong turnout in this election is a sign of the health of our republic and the strength of our democratic institutions. Laura and I are grateful to the election officials, poll workers, and volunteers who oversaw a free, fair, safe, and secure election.

We join our fellow citizens in praying for the success of our new leaders at all levels of government. May God continue to bless our great country.

The mental contortions you guys go through to make excuses for your rotten candidate are amazing. Can't you just accept she was a very bad candidate and loads of people couldn't stomach the idea of having her cackling in the W H for 4 years.

I have no candidate, I'm not American nor do I live in America. Whether Harris would have been good or bad we shall never know. We do have some inkling of Trumps character which doesn't put him in a good light but the fact that he has no class and is dishonest played no role in why he, or rather his party, was elected, it was a pragmatic economic choice with the vain hope that he could wave a magic wand and make a 35 trillion dollar debt disappear. No matter which party governs for the next 4 years it will be a disaster, a trillion dollars a year in interest payments alone, rising interest rates, unemployment and homelessness issues are harbingers of discontent which will be unfairly laid before the door of the government. These are world wide problems which need solutions from all parties and governments but that wont happen, the house of cards must first collapse before there is a new beginning but waves rise and fall, just a historical footnote from which nobody will learn.

Savor the victory. Let's enjoy some fine meltdowns. Good laughs. [You may have to login to X.com to see these vids. But X is great now that Musk purged it of leftists and the regime's censorship. Still plenty of leftist cr*p for you libs to love and suck up. Recommended.]

Need to get some of our very own little forum leftists to make some TikTok vids like this and post.

Yikes. Welcome to a new world order.

The dems absolutely need to take some responsibility for this. Some think it was about misogyny. Wrong. Exit surveys show Harris was equated with Biden and both were deeply disliked. I did not like her, so I can only imagine how conservatives felt. Everyone I spoke to in the past few weeks said how unlikable she was. We must learn from this.

The Dems need to dismantle the party, and rebuild it from scratch. Every official should be fired.

The fact that they even make those videos is a testament to their narcissistic personality disorder and only serves to bolster the statement that I have seen made over and over that “liberalism is a mental disorder”

My first vote for President was 1972. I've live through Nixon Ford, Reagan, 2x Bush and 1 previous term for Trump. I'll deal with this one maybe like this ('cept I don't drink):

You have no idea.

“People don’t like having their dick stepped on, but know it happens, and they get over it.

But when you pull their dick out of their pocket and jump up and down on it, they don’t get over it”

If the people thought they were taking hit for a better future to come, they’d have been fine.

The people know Trump is a bullsh*tter, but they were being lied to by the left.

Americans generally like a good bullsh*tter and know the difference.

If Joe Biden had withdrawn his nomination January 1, 2024 instead of July 21, 2024, this whole thing might of been different.

If Biden had resigned in January, 2023, Harris might have risen to ghe occasion and things might well have been different.

I think had she just had a few more months it would have been worse.

Immigration and the phony court cases really hurt the administration and the leftist media, to where no where no one believed them anymore.

Who are the leaders?

The dems need to separate themselves from the press and media, stand with republicans to close the border, abandon trans, DEI and identity politics and quit dividing everyone.

Trump campaigned with exactly the same message to black, white, yellow and brown voters.

Now the press is blaming black and brown men and  white women for not voting to put men in their daughters’ showers.

These people are insane.

Shhhhh!  Don't wake up "the woke"!

Let them continue to campaign and operate on those ideas, the results will be delicious.

Biden was not going to resign at any point.

But if he withdrew his nomination JAN1, there would've been time for a mini primary. At JUL 23, none of those who would be considered as viable candidates in addition to Harris were interested in that short order.

To be clear, I think Mike is probably a nice guy, and he and I probably agree on 90% of the issues.
