hello,

you please explain this ?

"As an EU citizen, I am entitled to the EU health insurance which repatriate me in case of an accident.
If I have an accident or need hosptal care, but can not be transported, the EU healthcare will sponsor my hospital bill."

normal EU heathcare support during your stay in Thailand?!

so all turists from EU pay travel insurance for nothing?

EU health Support is only valable in Thailand if your stay is a vacation.

EU healthcare insurance doesn't pay if your stay is not a vacation.

Kaw Yai?

You can live well in Thailand until your health suffers. It isn't the occasional doctor visits, medicines or even some surgery that costs too much, it is the constant return visits for dialysis or something really chronic. Getting health insurance is really expensive.

I can understand why Spain might be good if the same health requirements are free or cheap.

Getting health insurance is not only expensive but it is useless when you are suffering from these diseases already.

Thanks

And many lawyers, and Thai immigration police who were involved in this case didn't know Thai laws as well. Lucky that the Here Frits Seaking is a specialist on Thai laws

What a plonker Here Frits is.

Thai immigration police has nothing to do with tax law.

Lawyers specialize in separate parts of the law, this could be criminal, estate, tax, divorce, ...... So it completely depends on what sort of lawyer you ask the question.

I do actually know something about Thai law because of my work.

You are the idiot here.

Hilarious

Herr Frits refutes a thread about getting an iD card for my daughter and all of the sudden the thread has changed to tax laws.

Go back to kindergarten and amuse some little kids there.

It is sad that you can't remember what you talked about in the OP:

"3. The oncoming changes and requirements for foreigners who were staying more than 180 days in Thailand was a "NO" for me. New taxation rules, taxation on my foreign income and a message of my bank in Belgium warning me that they had send the documents about my "Wealth" that were asked by Thailand was the "Final Straw" for me."

He's more on the button than you appear to be. Sounds more like you've been led on by a scorned ex wife.

And where do you read in that quote anything about the immigration police.

You are a sad loser Her Frits

You said that I came up with tax, WRONG.

No you are blabbering about immigration police. You have lost the plot.

To be fair, if your health was still good you would have stayed in Thailand despite the rest of your post citing corruption and inconveniences.

I don't actually disagree with you. I am starting to get knee problems which came out of nowhere and I am only 51. I can only imagine what hell Thailand will become once I need a serious medical treatment.

I have always said it.... you should come to Thailand when you are young. This place is not for old Western men,

Forgotten that you started talking about immigration police too.

Better stop posting as you don't make any sense.

Joking aside - I agree 100%.

No luck yet but I don't give up easily.

I find failing is fun too. As long as she's thin & pretty.

...

Could you elaborate on that? Do you mean the Belgian bank sent the CRS report to Thailand? Normally this is done automatically if the Belgian bank has you down as residing in Thailand and if you provided the Belgian bank with your Thai TIN. It is automatic with no need for Thailand to "ask" for it.

Irish vlogger, has been in Thailand 12 years, married and has a son in Thailand. He's getting tired of the visa bureaucracy. And sounds like if he had known he would have gone to Spain instead. If I had an EU passport, I would also prefer southern Europe.

I watch this guy too. He would likely be gone except for his duty to family here. His video's are very honest.

Lucky you. A warm, sunny climate is very important to me, but returning home is definitely not an attractive option... lol

Look on the bright side - you think you can get away with this in the UK or Europe (and many other things that are acceptable here that aren't in the UK or Europe - you pays your money and takes your choice

Again, everyone has to make his own decision

I think that was the point I was making by using the words "for me"

I actually lived and worked in Spain for 10 years and I like Spain more than the UK (I have Spanish friends there who I visited in September) but living there permanently after Brexit means long term living in Spain with my Thai partner is not viable.

I have to say your response to my post seems like you are trying to justify your decision to yourself as - you say everyone has to make their own decisons - I don't question yours merely say that such decisions are often complex for each individual.
