Enighted is not in any English dictionary.

I have no doubt you will be enlightened, when Trump's policies result in cuts to your Social Security and Medicare.

Then there's the reduction in purchasing power which will come with tax cuts and a tariff war, as sure as night follows day.

You voted for this, now you have it. Som nam na.

No cuts to social security and medicare was part of what trump was running on, and something the dems didnt promise. So whatever ends up happening is what it is, its likely you are wrong yet again

Yes that is true. However I didn't vote for Trump or Harris. The only person more hated in the USA than Trump is Kamala specifically and the dems in general. People think it is only Trump that had ill will. The referendum ultimately was on Kamala and her band of freak fringe lunatc supporters.

IMO Trump was effective in tying Harris to Biden, pointing to immigration and living costs under Biden.

I understand America originated the aphorism "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me".

That will be put to the test in the next 4 years.

Kamala Harris lost because the democratic party has turned its back on its traditional working-class demographic.

its hardly rocket science

SPOKEN LIKE A BLUE HAIRED FEMINIST. IT'S HARD TO RELATE TO A CACKELING HYENA FOR MOST. EVERYONE IS STILL WONDERING WHERE THE 13 MILLION VOTES WENT FROM THE 2020 ELECTION. IT LOOKS LIKE THE 13 MILLION VOTES WERE PREVIOUSLY FROM DEMOCRATS. DID THEY JUST DECIDE TO NOT GO OUT AND SUPPORT CUMALA? LOL

IT SEEMS ODD THAT THERE WERE SO MANY VOTERS THAT DIDN'T SHOW UP.

THEY EITHER DIDN'T LIKE HER OR THERE WAS SOMETHING NEFARIOUS GOING ON BACK IN 2020. YOU DECIDE.

The Dems desperately need new blood and ideas.

She was a nothing, who the MSM tried to promote as a nice person. The fact that she never said what she would do to improve things, played a bug part in her downfall.

Wheeling out the likes of Obama, Clinton and Cheney was not good ideas. Too many bad memories of that lot.

If only she could have got Diddy or Epstein to endorse her.

Close to a billion dollars in campaign donations and still lost to a facist.  Granted she only had 107 days to campaign but she won CA, OR, WA IL, NY and few other small states.  Would this count as a running a poor campaign or a poor candidate? Could it have been a combination?

The dems worked with as best they could. Nothing she said in interviews was ever any substance anyone with half a brain wouldnt go for that

she lost because they couldn't cheat with mail in ballots this time.

Kamala only won states that do not require ID to vote.

I would have to agree with most of your points.

This article is quite biased. I do not think Bidens performance and her being the VP had anything to do with her losing the election. It was her lack of knowledge when spoken to. Her word salads ( nice name to put on someone who repeats the same words because they do not know what to say)

As well as her lack of strength on any policy. She spent her campaign constantly changing her ideals on most every topic based on where she was at and what that city or state were thinking was good. She changed her accent to try to appease races rather than being herself. Many things Harris did that made her lose the election.

She picked Tim Walz.

Had she not picked a hard-left buffoon, and instead picked an intelligent moderate that could speak and answer questions, she could have stayed in the Whitehouse, pretended she was running things and not had to campaign.

Attacking Trump was stupid. Everyone is already throwing mud at the mud-monster, and the mud-monster keeps getting stronger, and just has more mud to throw back. Why join them?

And I’m sorry, but she was an AG, a Senator, the VP for three years under a feeble old man and she has not developed any platform to run on?

I do not think Harris is stupid, she comes from a pretty bright family, but I do believe she is lazy, and for that reason, I think she is ignorant.

Democrats lost when they pick the worst performers at the 2020 primaries added to that the censorship and dictatorial mandates during the scamdemic.
Nobody ever got +80 millions votes at the presidential elections. Democrats cheated during the primaries and the 2020 elections. It will never recover unless tit starts from scratch.
I just hope to see in the next 4 years the end of NATO, WEF, WHO and UN. Next will be the EU and its autocratic administration.

Walz was a major drag on this ticket. I along with every combat veteran that I know said he was a clown that played weekend warrior for 20 years and pulled the rip cord when it came "game time".  We have a impolite term that describe this kind of weekend warrior that collected a check and played soldier while many us of deployed.  The impolite begins with "chickenxxxx".  He can now go back to MN and fade away.

By late Wednesday, Harris publicly conceded, urging her supporters to "do not despair." Her loss has left Democrats questioning what went wrong and what the future holds for their party.

The Democrat Party put a losing horse in the race and expected a win because they believed they controlled the management of the race-track.  And it was a "Selection."  No mandate to run by primary, no mandate to run by vote in an open convention.

The Democrats are going to have to reexamine who they are.  Want of "woman of color" in the White House?  Had they backed Tulsi Gabbard they probably would be celebrating right now.  Instead?  Harris is having a Hillary Clinton November 2016 moment, and for all the same reasons, and Gabbard has bailed from the Democrat party and joined the Republican Party.  My guess is that like myself, people like Jimmy Dore, and other Classic Liberals who in the past were left of center, her values now more align with Republican conservatism, and she still wants to be in politics and being an Independent is a dead-end. I don't have any political aspiration so I'll remain an independent.

So what went wrong?  Start with Jim Carville's 1992 quote during the Clinton campaign: "It's The Economy, Stupid," and work from there.  It's also endless wars, corporate welfare while average Americans suffer, billions sent to countries overseas while American infrastructure and social safety nets collapse, health care costs through the roof, and the fact that most Gen-Zs will never own a home in this obscenely expensive housing market and even affording rent is becoming a burden for most.  Something has got to give, and the present Administration's hyperbole about how wonderful the economy is just got a "Thumb's Down" by Democrat-leaning voters who know that it's all 'Bravo-Sierra."

The Democrat party needs to divest itself of all the far-left progressive whiners and "haters of all thing conservative," move back toward the political center, and stop ignoring their base while lavishing billions on corporate stakeholders and foreign interests who pour hundreds of millions of that same money back into the pockets of politicians who no longer give a good God-da*m about their own base.  Well - actions have consequences.
Perhaps by 2028 the Democrat Party can re-invent itself as a true liberal party with true liberal values who actually work for the benefit of their base.

And for those old enough to remember, the same left that effectively called George W. Bush a draft-dodger for being in the Air National Guard rater than the “real” service, was suddenly calling stolen-valor Walz a 20 year war veteran.

Then the leftist media attack Vance, a kid the joins the Marines (I think) out of high school during Iraq, because he was assigned to journalism or some such.

The legacy media had zero credibility by the time the election rolled around.

Vance-Gabbard 2028!

Never an AG won the presidential elections in the US. The only one who had the opportunity was shot before the elections (Robert Kennedy Sr.)

Already the 2020 primaries were rigged. The worst performers were chosen. I never understood how the other candidates accepted the diktat. Biden was already babbling and Harris was the first to drop out.

Nobody ever won with 81.2 millions votes, that’s more than 9 million votes than Trump in 2024??

I think Bill Clinton had been AG

Biden should have been pushed out after KBJ was confirmed.

Planned Parenthood for an STD panel?

You think Dougie dumps her now for something a bit fresher?

I don't really know why she lost. Honestly, I thought the abortion issue would win it for her. But there were a lot of other things that crippled her towards the end, I guess. It may have been the squirrel.

You are right, he was Arkansas AG for 2 years before being Governor in 1979.
