Bangkok bombshell: Thai woman walks as Erawan Shrine case crumbles
Here are a couple of articles which might explain why they are having difficulties finding a suitable interpreter:- The first link carries a story of how their original interpreter was attacked in the street after representing them and then was subsequently charged with drug offences by the RTP - not exactly going to have people queuing up to help them after that. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/crimecourtscalamity/courts/2016/06/01/bombing-suspect-interpreter-arrested-after-telling-court-i-worry-about-my-life/ The second link tells, amongst other things, how the court tried to appoint an interpreter provided by the Chinese government which the defendants disagreed with but were told by the court to suck it up. https://www.benarnews.org/english/news/thai/no-interpreter-08172021161730.html -

Unlicensed Clinic Owner Arrested in Banglamung, Chonburi Crackdown
In a decisive operation in Banglamung district, Chonburi police and public health officials have arrested a man accused of operating an unlicensed medical clinic. The individual, known as Mr. Krit, 47, is alleged to have been providing medical services to locals without the necessary permits. Authorities, suspecting the clinic of illegal activities, used an undercover operative with a trail-marked 1,000-baht note to conduct a drug test at the facility. Once the transaction was confirmed, officials swooped in, apprehending Mr. Krit and discovering the marked currency in the cash drawer. Further inspections uncovered that he had been issuing medical certificates without proper authorisation. The clinic, lacking required permits, appeared to function as a makeshift laboratory, evidenced by numerous used medical kits found discarded. Mr. Krit, reportedly a government-employed medical technician, admitted to running the clinic for around a year. He claimed to have prepped necessary filing papers for a permit but allegedly never submitted them due to work pressures. Despite holding a professional medical license, Mr. Krit was not permitted to operate such a clinic. He now faces charges of running a medical facility without authorisation and providing unauthorised medical services. The case has been transferred to Banglamung Police Station for further processing, reported The Pattaya News. Photo: The Pattaya News -- 2024-11-08 -

Left-Wing Conspiracy Theories Surge on Social Media After Trump’s 2024 Win
I had really hoped for a rejection of Trump and his Project 2025 ilk ... with the result that the Democrats would have to put up or shut up as supporting the working middle class. "Lemonade out of Lemons"? Well, documented history tells me that there is no hope of the Trump party addressing the justified frustration/anger within the working middle class. So, that pent up feeling will be postponed ... for how long? I do not know. Will it take four more years? -

Did you know about this easy (but very cold) backdoor into EU retirement residency?
The whole point of the Schengen area is free movement/borderless trade and travel - which is why Brexit was and is such a disaster for the UK. -
