I've been to Pattaya, I know the soi. I read the description of how the motorcycle was alongside the car. That would only happen if the rider decided to stay and confront, as he could easily have ridden away from confrontation on that soi, with the car being unable to follow. 

Whereas you've veered off to posting links about Afghanistan and Burkino Faso... Just nothing to do with the incident nor Pattaya. Why are you even on the Pattaya sub board if you haven't ever stepped foot in the place?

Again, READ what others have said to me before my replies, then you'll understand how things go a little off but still relate to the topic at hand. Try staying out of the conversation if you're only going to skim, then nitpick others, certain others, and not everyone. This is what I replied to since you didn't bother to do as i asked..............".I'm from the US. I've seen 6 murders over 30 years in my  neighborhood there, and a gang shooting next to my house in Hartford CT 2 years ago. The US is by far the most violent country in the world, they were shooting each other and killing over mask rules during covid. one of the reasons I came here, where I have managed to live a peaceful life for 11 years".............................This is why I posted the link about violence here. Violence which is the crux of this topic. Comparing violence here to other countries is also relevant, but that escapes your thinking.

 

I know who you are and others here do also, and using a few usernames doesn't disguise the attitude and trolling behavior. Along with the emoticons you always use.  Plus the "word salad" phrase. Discussing a subject sometimes means arguing one's point against another's. Guess that also blew past you. And by the way, my ex wanted to come back all along, because I treated her better than anyone ever had before. She kidnapped my child and hid her 4 times, which is called parental kidnapping, and offense in most countries that brings jail time, but here they don't care because they don't care much about children, especially the justice system. I don't go back with a narcissist abuser that gives her children up to grandma , meaning her two previous girls, and abuses both them and I. Assuming being another one of your traits.

In that 8 years 3 drive by shootings into thai businesses through jealousy. Two people were shot, wounded. Then there was the shootout at a club, one dead! I have a house in Nong Chok Bangkok and I also have a condo just off Naklua Road. I have a set rule when I hit Pattaya. I park my car in the condo car park and when I go out I use baht buses or walk, I only drive once every week to go to the supermarket to buy supplies and booze, any lighter shopping I walk. I've been going to Pattaya for the past 24 years and hasn't it changed. Ok there's plenty of farang scumbags here but they're out numbered but the trash from up north, that hit Pattaya for a job but never go to work once they they get on the booze with their jungle bunny mates.

Getting to the topic rather than puffed up keyboard warriors praising themselves, the only acceptable reason for the Brit continuing to ride alongside the car, is if the driver caused some damage to himself or his bike. If not, then he was simply asking for trouble. His request was fulfilled.

Even if you can take care of yourself, de-escalate. Take note, 'hard men' and keyboard warriors alike.

Yesterday on a simple 5k ride, I had what could of escalated into the same as this. Pedestrians, wandering in middle of the road, blow horn and get a mouthful of hate back at me, another zebra crossing when lights are green for drivers another idiot(drunk) at 2pm starts the mouth of swearing at me...this idiots need to stay at home, you are not welcome here

Using the horn is considered impolite in Thailand, other than a very short toot to attract attention.
