DHL Unveils International Multimodal Hub Raising Thailand's Logistics Game
In a major boon for the logistics sector, DHL Global Forwarding Thailand has raised the stakes with the inauguration of their state-of-the-art International Multimodal Hub in Bangkok. Positioned in the Suvarnabhumi Airport’s Free Zone 3, the 480-square-metre facility emerges as an apex player in Southeast Asia's logistic landscape. Evoking a notable shift towards a streamlined supply chain, the cutting-edge hub promises an amalgamation of road, air, and sea connection points. Vincent Yong, Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding Thailand, highlighted the strategic thrust that facilitates customs clearance centrally within Bangkok, bidding goodbye to border checks. In addition to slashing transit times, the new facility, equipped with advanced security measures, offers a special storage area for high-value goods. Yong added, "Our multimodal hub waives Exporter of Record and Importer of Record prerequisites for transit shipments. It effectively simplifies the entire logistics process, thereby boosting our delivery efficiency." Collaborating with the Airports of Thailand (AOT) and Thai Customs, DHL's latest venture redefines Thailand's geography from "landlocked" to "land-linked", reflecting local inclinations while firmly anchoring on an international approach. In line with Thailand's long-term vision, the hub is set to transform the country's role in regional logistics, fuelling seamless cross-border trade. Leveraging DHL's AsiaConnect and AsiaConnect+ networks, the hub promises to extend its connectivity beyond Southeast Asia. Bruno Selmoni, DHL's vice president for road freight rekindled the importance of road transport and said, "A cohesion of rail and road routes expedite door-to-door lead times, striking a perfect balance between cost and speed." With the nod towards digitisation and sustainable road freight, DHL's launch translates into Thailand becoming a quintessential cog in Southeast Asia's logistics engine, as reported by The Nation. Selmoni concluded, "With only three multimodal facilities in Thailand, we are proud to elevate the logistics game." File photo for reference only -- 2024-11-13 -

Watch: Biden Struggles to Navigate Delaware Beach & Stumbles Multiple Times
You did see the debate didn't you. Fairly sure arthritis and plantar fasciitis wasn't playing much of a role then. By much of a role I mean NONE. Bit like this little collage. To say any of this is because of arthritis or plantar fasciitis is grasping at non-existent straws. -

Thais in Los Angeles Protest Against PM Paetongtarn’s Visit
No Thai PM is elected by the Thai people at all. When an election is held, the party with the most seats gets the chance to form a government. If they have an overwhelming majority, then the form the new government. If they don't have a majority, then they form a coalition government. If however they still cannot get enough seats to form a majority, then after a period of time, the party with the next highest number of seats is offered the same opportunity to form a coalition. If they can get a majority of seats then they become the government. As for who becomes the PM a number of names from the winning parties are submitted by each party executive, (3 I think per party) and one of them is chosen. The public are NOT consulted or vote on who that will be. A person is appointed (usually from the party with the most seats) and then becomes the PM. So she has no experience. So what? How do you think people gain experience in a job they have never done before? As for your term that she has no skill, that is simply your opinion and not that of the people who appointed her. She is not expected to know everything, which is why PM's and executives everywhere have advisors who are specialists in their own subjects. -
