The government wants to push the view that the state pension is a social security benefit. Sometime after it's introduction the state pension came under the umbrella of the Social Security Act along with moves to break the link between NI and the state pension, leading to false claims by the government.

The government publishes the rates for welfare benefits but there is no rate for the "state pension", it is an individual entitlement.

Yes, but comes under 'benefit', it is not a pension scheme, where you pay quoted instalments, that's why they can tell us we cannot get updates in Thailand, if it were a pension scheme, they couldn't .............🤔

Your pension is a benefit, end of. My videos are about the state pensions. To combat fraud from BOTH directions.

Your new pension benefit bank account can be looked at by pensions to see if you get 'robbed' or are on the fiddle.

The dots have been lined up, it had to happen sometime, because of people like you...........🤔..

You are distorting that word "benefit" again, the term SERPS stands for State Earnings Related Pension Scheme.

You are also missing the point. The first reciprocal agreement was an act of discrimination, creating 2 classes  of overseas pensioner, those that can and those that can't.

They claim it has been that way for over 70 years but GRB only started in 1961.

If you rely solely on  State Pension then obviously the money is crucial. However some people have private pensions and investments that cover the cost of living, so the State Pension is a supplement.

You are now making excuses, let's stick to what the Gov is doing to stop pension fraud.

My vids have pointed what they are supposedly going to do.

 

Every UK farang in LOS knows their pension will be locked if living there, the Gov knows many are avoiding their pension being locked usually by a third party, or some sort of dodge back in the UK.

 

The Gov's new procedure will probably stop that fraud, that's it, end of story...

 

I must add, some on here, over the years, have bragged, and rubbed others noses in it because folk are following the law, now I see them having bum burps because they are going to get what most of us wanted to avoid. Those people may soon have to sort a lot of things out, I won't, because I wanted to sleep at night......... 🤗

I have been living here for 13 years now and my pension has been increased regularly. My last 2 life certificates have been signed by my local pharmacist (in Thailand) and prior to that in France, where I have a permanent address. People like the paranoid transam do the rest of us a favour by believing the bs that he reads, as I cannot imagine any government spending a fortune trying to track down those of us  who don't declare that we live in Thailand, let alone trying to access our bank account details. Do you honestly believe that we'll all be done for fraud? You're out for a laugh transam. Do yourself a favour and call it a day, stop making a fool of yourself.

Posts like this seem to show a worried person. Now, I would have thought that if you get a life certificate at a Thai address, you have a locked pension, as they send them to the pension registered address. 

 

But, If you do get a full pension in LOS then why not tell readers why and how, instead of having a pop at me for just showing the UK Gov's plans via various sites.

I'm not going to try and match your 83 posts on this subject, but I will put your mind at rest. I'm 80 years old and I'm not stupid enough to give half of my well earned pension away. My pension has always been paid into my English bank account, which I opened almost 50 years ago and all correspondence from the DWP is passed on to me from my French address. Life certs are signed here and sent back to France to be posted in the brown envelope, which is what the DWP asks us to do.

Some years ago I was asked where I'd been living for the last 12 months and I knew that they had no choice but to accept what I told them, so I told them what I could remember.

I hope that those of you who have been worried by this idiot, who is probably feeling a bit stupid by now, will see that there is nothing  to worry about if you haven't committed a crime.

You make too many assumptions transam, some of us are more intelligent than you, probably the majority in fact!
