Apparently land mines are now warm and fuzzy and not evil he is suggesting they use those now. Have to admit the term ATCMS Attack-ups sound cute. Like a snack you put in your kids lunch box.

Not sure how writing on a Thai forum, full of old age pensioners is helping the destruction of Russia.

Yep, now the victims get to go home with only one foot and tell everybody how war is hell for the rest of their lives.

ATACMS does sound cute. The especially sweet thing about ATACMS is that they are guided and only used on valuable military targets, unlike glide bombs.

Whenever Ukraine is ready to give up they can. They can't fight forever they are fighting on borrowed time and money. They have no path to victory there will be nobody left to fight in two years. Is this worth it for territory they are never getting back?

Sure they can. Neville Chamberlain said the same thing. Let's reward the invaders even when they commit massive war crimes. Ask the Poles and Finns about territory.

Invading Ukraine wasn't reckless but defending it is now?

How has this decline affected the people inside Russia? Russia has oil and natural gas. Russia has minerals. Russia has food.  It seems almost like a closed system.

Germany and Euro countries need Russia more than Russia needs them. Russia can give the finger salute to the US.

Letting Russia take Crimea unanswered was reckless. That was a jewel of Ukraine. They are fighting over wasteland and rubble now.

Were Ukraine issued cluster bombs or something else banned under international law.? I seem to remember reading something like that

Yeah, like in 2014 what was Ukraine going to do about it? Crimea was a wake up call. Putin miscalculated in 2022.

If Zelensky gives up now and doesn't escape on a submarine to Sth America he likely faces the same fate as Il Duce. IMO.

It really shouldn't matter anyway it is warfare we are talking about. By all means let it escalate in the false hope Ukraine has a chance.

It set the precedent. Should they fight until they get Crimea back?

Yes, and until Russia pays reparations to compensate Ukraine. Keep bombing Moscow until Putin gets it.

If the fatality rates hold steady Ukraine has a little over a year before all their soldiers are dead. Then what? Fight on?

At that point Russia will find itself a pariah nation for the next century. Broke and rife with poverty and internal division.

When did Russia help Ukraine? I'm totally not getting this attitude that Ukraine should somehow reward Putin for murdering Ukrainian babies. Maybe you can explain that logic to me a little more clearly?

If there is a negotiated settlement maybe the western portion of Ukraine including Kyiv and Lviv can become a part of NATO and gain protection. At that point Putin can bankrupt himself trying to rebuild what little is left of the east.

Even if some miracle happens and Ukraine somehow regain all of their territory back they have inherited a house that his a tear down. So cut the cancer off and put resources in the healthy part. Otherwise many people are going to freeze and starve this winter fighting for land they don't have the resources to fix.

Putin has never suggested that Ukraine can join NATO, quite the opposite. He's not just trying to annex Crimea and the Donbas. Stop insulting our intelligence.

That's the negotiation. He gets the east the west gets the west. The other option is Kyiv is eventually reduced to a pile of rubble.
