Strange and annoying things here in land of smiles
For reference: Here in Siem Reap, Cambodia, most boxed electrical goods are opened by the staff so that the goods can be seen working (or not) when plugged into an electricity supply. The purchaser can then buy and the box repacked. MAKRO in Siem Reap is a good example, where I recently purchased an LED desk light after testing. IMO this behaviour is not bizarre or annoying, it is "peace of mind" knowing what I bought works properly. -

Tourists Detained After Vaping Mid-Air on Nok Air Flight
If the offence ONLY include smoking/vaping on the plane -- however it sounds like they also did not comply with the air crews admonishment and refused to comply with instructions (the article is missing a lot of detail). As such, I believe that the US federal law of "Interfering with a flight crews duties" which includes everything from physical interference, verbal interference, and refusing to comply with instructions (including fastening seat belts, stowing luggage, turning off electronic devices, and observing no-smoking rules) or other disruptive behavior... (49 U.S.C. § 46504). For these the civil penalties are up to $37,000 per violation (multiple incidents can come from a single incident), and also criminal penalties (up to 20 years). This is of course a lay opinion from the plain reading of the law. -

Girls in Sri Racha
Beautiful girls, IMO never are much fun. They know men are fools for a pretty face, so they don't need to try. I tried one once- never again. -

Can you recommend me a cheap car insurance ?
DirectAsia. I have 2 cars with them. Recently switched one car (3 year old MG5) from Roojai to DirectAsia because quote was a little cheaper, car was valued at a higher insurance price and they offer payments over 10 months with no increase from single yearly premium. They also offer a Type 1 Save option which is excellent if you want an excess. Roojai quoted me the same price as the previous year even though I've had no claims, stating cost of various parts, the age of the vehicle, and economic adjustments. -

BYD ATTO 3 - New car soon
Ditto, walk around (MG ZS) and that was it. Took it for a long test drive, 240 ish kms, then returned to MG to top the battery back up, to make sure we know how. The test drive was eye opening, and annoying as hell, the first 30 minutes. All safety features on, stay in lane, along with learning curve about the regen, and auto braking when in cruise control, when someone cuts in front of you, a bit too close. Disable the stay in lane, before half way down the road. Just annoying. In cruise control, you need to work the accelerator when getting near things, or the car will reduce the speed for you. Takes some getting use to. If in traffic, even on the highway, just don't bother using, unless texting, then the car (at least the ZS) will stop by itself if someone stops in front of you Actually I only use cruise control on open road, so not to exceed the speed limit, as easy to do, since a very smooth & comfy ride. 90 kph feel so slow sometimes if no traffic around you going slower. Within owning the first month, took a couple road trips, one short, and one a bit longer, requiring use of charging stations. Can't imagine the Atto 3 experience being much different that our MG ZS. You having the extended version will be a bit of a plus, though 3+ hrs or about 250 kms, on Thai roads is enough for us. You'll find by the time you're done P'ing, stretching the legs, and grabbing a munch, the car will be topped up, or close to 90-95% and you can be on your way again. 30-40 mins, replaces about ~30kWh (60%) of battery for our ZS, so 30% back to 90% for us. https://aseannow.com/topic/1276247-ev-owners-…-real-life-experience-help-thread/ -

Girls in Sri Racha
Yes. I used to walk down there just to see how beautiful hookers can be- out of my financial means, of course.
