It is not my job to address the problem of taking care of  the 4 million + (your figures) children you keep mentioning about.  This is why Trump has appointed Tom Homan as border czar.  As former temporary acting head of ICE he is well aware of the complexities of the job.  Since you are so worried I suggest you contact him with your concerns.

What happens to the children of regular US citizens who break the law and are sent to prison? They are not the government's responsibility except in dire circumstances.

Seems as if you do not understand my post.  You keep repeating how the mayor is an outstanding family man, etc.  The fact is these are illegal immigrants, many of them violent criminals.  They entered this country illegally and should not be allowed to stay.  Why have immigration laws if they are not enforced?

Here is the problem I have with your post…like your resume, you inflate your statements…your “many illegals” equate to 5% of illegals have committed crime compared to adjusted data which is only half when compared to US citizens committing crimes

US current deportation focus is to deport all illegals who commit crimes…why you say? Because that is all the money that has been budgeted…if you want more, then increase the budget drum roll to a practical number…

trump makes this incredible stupid statements that’ all illegals immigrants will be imported…at what cost? Do the math

that is over a trillion dollars if they deported a million a year over eleven years…who is picking up theses costs…taxpayers…trump’s history is he is the 3rd most president to increase the deficit…he is part of the problem like Biden…both presidents have continued to add to inflation/cost of living going up over the last 8 years

there are illegal grandmothers who have been in the country 20years…what’s the point of deporting them? The biggest issue is the illegal workforce that contributes mightily to the US surging economy…they serve a useful purpose…it’s not like they are taking desirable jobs away from citizens? If you want to clean up an area…clean up an area try work comp…the fraud by US citizens  to get disability insurance  (meaning not work b/c they don’t want to work) is off the charts…get those people back to work rather than paying then not to work

don't fall for this “ throw out the baby with the bath water”  syndrome…

trump’s 4 years of immigrant policy and deportation already has been unimpressive…”judge them by what they do and not what they say”…one needs to comprehend that statement clearly….tell me again who paid for the existing 300 mile museum of a wall? What a waste of taxpayers money by someone who talks in generalities yet accomplishes very little

Whose resume are you talking about?

If Donald Trump accomplishes very little, then why worry about his deportation plan?  And if what you say is true don't waste your time posting all those numbers since it ain't going to happen.

You act like you are an expert of U.S. criminal law.  Is that why you posted word for word from the same online source I read?

Which source is that?

I do not purport to be a legal expert, but I am quite capable of reading statutes and making the appropriate reference.

What have I stated that is factually incorrect?

They are indeed the responsibility of state agencies. Where have you been for the past century? When a caregiver is incapacitated, detained or otherwise unavailable, the minor is placed in state custody.  Prior to transfer of custody of a minor, it is a requirement that a  review of the prospective caregiver be undertaken.

All of these measures requires personnel, and money.

After all it is only a handful of apartment complexes controlled by violent Venezuelan gangs in the Denver area.

The Denver area is not the city of  Denver. Aurora where the buildings are located, is its own municipality and has a Republican mayor.

The Republican mayor has never said that his city had a Venezuelan gan problem. There were only allegations made by a few people who wanted to be relocated from the slum tenements. Despite police surveillance, Aurora PD found no evidence of gang control of  the buildings.

The buildings were shut down for health reasons The landlord needed an excuse to justify the neglect of the property.

All illegal immigrants are criminals, as it is a crime to enter the country illegally.

IMO the best way to stop the problem is to build a big wall and put armed men in watch towers along it, just like the israelis do. Their walls seem to work.

Trump's efforts were stymied last time by the Dems. Now hs's got both Houses so should be able to get much more done.

Is there any way to overlay the various mayors and governors claiming "sanctuary status" and providing free food and housing to the inflow?  Their invitations might also be a factor.

The words demonstrate the limited intelligence of those who propose simplistic solutions for a complex problem.  Are you even aware of Presidential Proclamation 1077 that changed the threshold rules? Migrant advocacy groups have been protesting against the Biden administration because of this proclamation amendment.

Unauthorized entrants who are apprehended are screened within 24 hours of apprehension. Almost everyone who crosses without authorization is generally ineligible for asylum, absent exceptionally compelling circumstances. In order to stay, they must show a credible fear of life reason to remain. If they cannot remain, they are removed as soon as  they are processed. This is the vast majority of people.

The people who are allowed to remain pending a hearing must show a fear of life basis. Anyone considered a risk is fitted with a tracking ankle bracelet or is detained. If they violate the terms of the permission to remain, they are subject to immediate removal from the country. If they are allowed to remain, in accordance with the US treaty agreements, then they are not "illegal".

If the intent is to deport unauthorized entrants, why put them on buses to Colorado? The current rules are to immediately remove them. Why are you now asking that they be allowed to stay?

If you really are serious about dealing with unauthorized migrants crack down on the US nationals who smuggle them and who profit from their exploitation. Arrest and punish the contractors who drive through the migrant day labour zones in AZ, NV, CA etc. looking for cheap day labour. The migrants would not be able to come to the USA and to live there unless they were enabled.

So who is enabling these kids?

Cut funding

Most of these cities are going bankrupt. Trump can simply not fund them through various measures and the cities will go under. Additionally, all of that payout going directly and indirectly to illegal aliens will be halted

And make the Mexican Government pay for it one way or another! I’d like to see Trump through  EO,put a heavy fee on sending money back to Mexico. Billions are being sent to Mexico.

Why should Mexico pay for something they do not want.  If Trump wants a wall, or anything, then he/USA should pay!

I don't know anything about paying for a wall but Mexico should step up and be a good neighbor.  And that means stopping the flood of migrants passing thru Mexico on their way to the USA.  Mexico has a very small southern border and could easily control the inflow.  But they don't because they WANT this flood of migrants as the cartels have some control over their government and the massive movement makes it easier to mask the flow of drugs and human smuggling.

And some of you are missing the point of the wall.  It was partly real lets make it harder physically to evade legal entry but also partly symbolic in that it means NO we don't take just anyone.  There are legal paths to entry and immigration but you can't just jump the border.  Sadly this was undermined by the DEM governors and mayors who pandered to the pretend empathy and claimed sanctuary status which essentially invited illegal immigration.  Funny how when border state governors started shipping the massive inflow to these cities they cried for federal aid to cover the costs.  And now some are pretending sanctuary status didn't mean unlimited migration since they are going broke and their citizens are complaining.

I do hope they focus on that area. It is a massive incentive to come to the USa for the illegals and a big source of revenue for the cartels.

For the Trump haters and do gooders who believe in Bidens/ Harris globalist dream of protecting illegals from deportation!

(The Center Square) – The federal government has the authority to deport foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally over the objection of local authorities, a panel of three judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled.
