Thanks. Question wasn't how to get the THC into the body, but more about what it's like to be really blottered once you are on the plane with all those people at 36,000 feet.

All depending of the amount you put in. Anyway, always a pleasure to communicate with you. You are welcome 😁

3. Time Perception:

• Some users report that cannabis makes time seem to pass differently. This could make a six-hour flight feel shorter and more tolerable.

Cannabis is likely to make your 6-hour flight feel like 20 hours. Additionally, be cautious of potential paranoia attacks. If you’re considering using marijuana to cope with a fear of flying, it may actually amplify negative emotions. I would advise using alcohol instead (moderately).

Normally tempus fugit when I'm high. So 6 hours should feel like 3. I never get paranoia attacks and I don't have a fear of flying. I just don't enjoy flying and find it so boring. Combine that with some dweeb coughing, complaining the whole time, or a crying baby and it just adds to the nuisance. So I think I'll drop an edible before I get on the plane, close my eyes and just chill.

Bach's cantatas are better.

Well it depends. Because there were 200 or so of them (I have most) they make a wonderful long listening experience. However, each one is a specific liturgy and so they vary in tone. Its like a series of short stories. Masses are like novels. Far more buzzy when you are on a plane and ripped because you have a long musical piece to absorb.

Have you ever flown while fully baked?  Well, I certainly wouldn't recommend flying half-baked 🙄

For long flights, ganja cookies are a must. I took about 40mg of cookies right after check-in at Swampy for a flight to SF. I slept warm and fuzzy most of the way to Incheon. The plane change was annoying, but I  took another 40mg about an hour before boarding, and 25mg more about 5 hours into a 12-hour leg. I watched less than one movie on my tablet. I landed in SF feeling well rested after the best sleep in a while, but it was 11:00 pm there so it was dawn before I could fall asleep.

With an eye mask, earplugs, and a few ganja cookies it was pretty easy to ignore all the annoying people on the plane. Not sure I'd have been the right guy to open the emergency exit but i certainly could have stumbled out on my own 😊

The fixation of making useless comments in a cannabis thread when you're clearly biased.

Most people never grow up from consuming alcohol. I remember doing it when I was 6. Totally got over it.

Seems like a good idea.   Although ...

... and unlikely to happen, but, if traveling through strict drug law country, and some official decides to make you take a urine test, then surely you'd be violating any 'use of' laws, and you may end up at a new destination.

Thats the huge risk...   BUT - even if you took weed the week before, its still detectable in Urine, as THC remain locked into the 'fat cells' and is secreted into Urine...

... SO, if someone is a regular Marijuana user, they would test positive on a Urine drug screening anyway, and in countries across the Middle East having THC in your system would be treated in a draconian measures - those guys don't mess about at all.

That said, the likelihood of being forced to undertake a drug screening when transiting in Dubai or Doha etc must be tiny to non-existent.

Risks aside: If travelling from Thailand to a 'safe' country - getting semi-baked is a great way to flying...   you're just more chilled, the small irritants don't bother you can you can drift off to sleep more easily.

(I've done it a few times in the past couple of years).

The issue with THC is that it stays in the blood for at least 30 days. So in other countries where it's also illegal, if they were to test you and find it in your blood, it could've been something you consumed a month ago. I don't think most other countries would ever prosecute someone for THC in the blood, as long as you don't have anything on your person that you shouldn't. Just don't fly with this guy and you should be fine:

THC is detectable in Urine for longer than its detectable in the Blood when drug screening.

(From AI)

The detection window for THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) in blood versus urine varies due to differences in how the body processes and stores the compound:

1. Blood

  • Short detection window: THC is detectable in blood for 1 to 2 days for occasional users but may extend to 7 days or more in heavy, chronic users.
  • THC enters the bloodstream rapidly after use, but its levels drop quickly as it is metabolised and stored in fat cells.

2. Urine

  • Longer detection window: THC metabolites (such as THC-COOH) are detectable in urine for significantly longer because they are eliminated through the kidneys. The detection window depends on usage patterns:
    • Occasional users: Up to 3–7 days.
    • Moderate users: Up to 10–15 days.
    • Heavy, chronic users: Up to 30 days or longer.

Key Differences

  • Blood tests measure active THC, making them ideal for assessing recent use, such as impairment during driving.
  • Urine tests detect inactive THC metabolites, making them better for identifying past use, particularly in pre-employment or routine drug screening.

Additional Notes

Factors like metabolism, body fat percentage, and frequency of use can influence detection times for both blood and urine.

Then you dont understand it...   Its not just about getting baked... there are many benefits.

- Relaxation,

- better sleep

- another buzz other than Booze (which an be more harmful).

But for me the kicker was quite a horrific sports injury - I was prescribed some opiates after the operation, great, but I didn't want to be taking too many...   THC Edibles helped with both the pain and sleeping - a perfect solution, but I didn't want to over do that either....

... Thus, in moderation the stuff is great IMO....

Those passing such judgement have closed mind and have never tried it...

Its legal now in Thailand, no harm in trying it for those who want to...

100+ mg of THC for a flight. The only way to fly right? Bold and not recommend for the average user though. Some people might get on the wrong plane if they were that high and end up in lovely Afghanistan instead.

Indeed, overdoing it definitely isn't good. It's not actually so bad, but if the high gets too intense it can be a bit overwhelming.

I have some very potent edible cannabis oil. Usually 10-15 drops (between 1/4-1/2 ml) is really good for me. Last night I wanted to see what 20 drops (1/2 ml) would feel like. It was a bit of a FAFO moment. It got pretty intense for about an hour towards the middle of the ride. More than I wanted. It was fine, I just lied down until it passed, but from now on I'll stick with no more than 15 drops.

The take away is that people need to know what their limits are and ease into it with dosing. It's easy to overdo it with an edible. So better to tiptoe your way in.

This is much less likely to happen when vaping or smoking because the THC isn't as concentrated when using it that way.
