Huge fines and all vehicles not up to standard destroyed. That will wake up the robbing murderers. You can bet your life that they’d wake up once they see them coming.

It's blatently obvious what / where the problem is, will it change - certainly not in the near future as there is no incentive to correct all the basic problems as everyone is too busy promoting high-speed trains, submarines and other hair-brain schemes. 

Where would they start, then stop... we know it will only stop, at the very top... and I can't say who...

Are they patrolling the highways to find reckless drivers? No. Why? Because they do not care one iota about traffic safety. It is all lip service. The level of pretense, the level of fake purity, the dumb and mindless application of laws here is beyond inane. The RTP are a blight on the nation. 

 

Drive by any highway police station and you will mostly see at least one police car parked there. I would bet that if you stopped nearby to see when the car will leave, most times it will be there for most of the day or night.

They just do not patrol the roads.

And it is truly pathetic, around the world what does the highway patrol do? They patrol the highways, looking for reckless drivers, looking for overloaded trucks, looking for people who are causing problems on the road. What does the highway patrol do here? Almost nothing, the only time I see them on the road is after an accident takes place.

 

They are truly one of the most useless organizations in the entire nation, and they should be taken to task for allowing thousands upon thousands of people to die on the roads every year, due to their malfeasance and sheer laziness.

No need to tow they get driven around all over Hua Hin everyday, cars with no stickers, broken lights, no mufflers.

Many are rusted patched up wrecks.

Kids driving bikes, I saw 5 people on a bike yesterday by a school, 3 kids and 2 adults ,no helmets.

As for lpg vehicles they should not be allowed to fill-up at stations unless they have a certification from road transport that is current.

You cant even fill a lpg bottle in NZ if the test date is  not current.

You can not fill cars or busses without the vehicle having current certification.

I dont know how Thais get licenses they dont obey pedestrian crossing rules or roundabouts.

Service station staff should be trained to check the cng or lpg registration, they are trained in most countries.
