If the guy insists on a condom they have to decide if gonorrhea or syphilis is worth it for a few baht. It's not like they carry a testing kit around with them. Mostly they do it for a few years to get a financial start, but it's not a long term occupation. 

 

Try getting a decent western prossy to do it without and you'll be out the door.

  Many customers would insist on using a condom and they would not have sex with a prostitute who would have condom free sex .

   To much risk of catching a disease , especially with a Thai prostitute

One of the biggest expat lies is: I always glove up.  They want to save face with their beer buddies. This survey is a little closer to the truth , but in my opinion it is closer to 80% who never use.
