Moscow Times?  Well, if it's from Moskau, it's gotta be true!

Oh, wait......

Russia's justice ministry has designated The Moscow Times, an English and Russian-language online newspaper, a "foreign agent", the publication said late on Friday.
The "foreign agent" designation requires media outlets and designated journalists to place a disclaimer on items they publish and imposes strict financial reporting and self-disclosure requirements.
In a statement reported by Russian media, the justice ministry accused the Moscow Times of distributing inaccurate information about decisions taken by the authorities, thereby forming what it called a negative image of Russia.

That's about as reliable as citing articles from the Epic Times as "proof" of propaganda claims about China.

So what are trusted news sources from Russia in your opinion?

MY opinion doesn't matter.

Russian news sources aren't permitted.

Western only, limited to narrative-approved story hour.

Can't even link to the official ministry websites.

You MAY quote a massaged paraphrase of a quote-mined statement from Lavrov in the Sun or the Express.

You may NOT quote the actual statement by Lavrov from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I'm not asking for a quote. You're saying one source is not reliable since the Russian government put it on a watchlist. So what is a reliable source in your opinion? You're discussing here based on information, where do you get your information from?

All of them, but you allocate trust based on reliability.

Let's take the Lavrov situation.

You can accept the Daily Mail or similar quote-mining a western official's interpretation of what he wants you to believe Lavrov intended to mean to say.

Or you can try to go to the source and get the official transcript and read what was actually said....if your country permits you to view unapproved content.

Western media in general refuse to publish direct quotes from Russians or Chinese or Iranians, and rarely if ever a full sentence, only a juicy tidbit or two taken out of context.

Ah yes, the official statements are trustworthy. Sure.

LOL

First, BRICS' aim to replace the US dollar is at present just wishful thinking, and not yet reality.

And then, before becoming reality, the wishful thinking has to overcome some obstacles 555
