ICC issues arrest warrant for Min Aung Hlaing

wont mean much, but it makes good press

#BREAKING: Karim A Khan, prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), announces an application for a warrant of arrest for Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is solely responsible for the illegal coup in Myanmar in February 2021. This application is related to alleged crimes against humanity committed against Rohingya Muslims. The ICC is an independent judicial institution established to address the most serious crimes of international concern, such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. It is empowered to investigate and prosecute individuals responsible for such crimes, regardless of their nationality or where they were committed. The Prosecutor's decision to seek an arrest warrant for Senior General Min Aung Hlaing is based on the presumption that he is primarily responsible for the crimes committed against the Rohingya population in Myanmar. The Prosecutor has determined that there is sufficient evidence to believe that the Senior General committed or aided in the commission of the crimes outlined in the application.
