Problem with Amazon

Featured Replies

Hello,

before it was ok, but now , problem: I don't receive the code OTP, either by sms or phone

I did a search on Internet, and it seems it happens for many people

what to do, can I send an e-mail to Amazon ? ( US or FR , it's the same problem)

my provider is OTP, and it works for E. bay

Thanks for your help

check with your phone provider

does your plan include receiving SMS from overseas? has it changed?

I get SMS from Amazon USA okay, well sometimes I have to do log in twice

Often on international sales or banking, waiting for a one-time passcode by phone is sometimes a losing proposition! My bank in the US takes about 45 seconds from the time I answer until the voice begins to dictate the code.

Switch to a PIN instead of the password.

I go first to amazon with my computer ( desktop ) but of course I receive the OTP on my smartphone

what do you mean , which PIN ? my Pin to open my phone ?

I never get an OTP from Amazon. I get an email confirming the order. That may be followed by a "card declined" email. If so, the bank will usually send me an SMS and email for me to confirm the purchase by me. Otherwise, I'll have to call the bank and confirm and get them to remove the security block. My next email from Amazon will be to confirm shipment.

IIRC Amazon has a phone help desk, where one can speak to a human.

Quite a few years ago, I had a problem with a Kindle. The desk operator was very helpful.
