A crash occurred early morning on December 1, on the Nong Han-Sabang road in Udon Thani province, leaving two young men dead after their motorcycle collided with a truck carrying pigs. The incident resulted in severe damage to their vehicles and has prompted a police investigation into the cause.

At approximately 01:25, Pol. Lt. Anan Mueanphet, Deputy Inspector at Nong Han Police Station, received a report of a fatal collision near the MasterTech Learning Centre in Nong Han subdistrict, Nong Han district. Upon arriving at the scene, police and rescue workers from the Udon Thani Support Foundation found the bodies of two victims who were later identified as Mr. Atichat 21, the passenger, and Mr. Wisanukorn 20, the motorcycle rider.

The motorcycle, a black Honda Scoopy without a license plate, was found severely damaged at the side of the road. Nearby was a green 12-wheel Hino truck carrying pigs, registered in Nakhon Sawan province, with damage to its front left side. The truck driver, identified as Mr. Worawut 32, was unharmed and remained at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the two young men were riding their motorcycle from Nong Han town back to their home, while the pig truck was traveling in the opposite direction from Sabang village toward Nong Han town. The collision occurred when the motorcycle rider reportedly lost control, swerved across the road and struck the oncoming truck head on.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash to determine the exact cause.
