Family friendly? I'd like to see a family negotiating their way up or down Soi Bukahao on foot without casualties...or worse...swim in the sea at this beach resort without being sick afterwards. ...bring the kids on a tour of the weed shops...?

Pattaya has more than one street now, though you know of only one. It also has quite a nice, wide Promenade.

No reports of all the sickness our childless posters are always claiming. I see families out swimming all the time. Koh Larn is good for swimming and a big attraction nowadays.

Is that the only kind of shop in Pattaya? Have you ever seen a mall?

 

Conclusion: rubbish post from the clueless confined to Soi Buakhao. Millions of families coming to Pattaya as tourists AND expats raising families quite successfully here. IN CONDOS, too. Great schools around, recreation, medical care, etc.

I was there in 68-70 and yes it was the start of an RR destination for GI's. Wish I could go back in time, we rode horses on the beach water skied in the ocean. Best of times

My wife's father was a fisherman in Pattaya and remembers going with him. Then she and her brother provided horse rides along the beach for visitors - memories....
