A rescue unfolded at Wat Nong Bua School in Nong Naen Subdistrict, Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province, when a woman fell into a drainage pit and required immediate assistance.

The Phanom Rescue Association received an emergency call early on December 5, reporting the incident at Village 9 on the school grounds. Upon arrival, rescue volunteers found the woman trapped in the narrow concrete drainage pit. The situation required intervention as the woman was stuck to her waist and was unable to free herself and attempts to her pulled out failed.

Rescue teams coordinated efforts to bring specialised equipment to the site, including a concrete breaker and a backhoe, to dismantle part of the pipe safely. After a meticulous operation, the woman was successfully extracted from the pipe. Volunteers promptly administered first aid at the scene before transporting her to Phanom Sarakham Hospital for further medical evaluation.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident. Preliminary reports suggest the woman may have accidentally slipped into the uncovered pit while working nearby. Local officials are also assessing the site to prevent similar incidents in the future, given the proximity to the school.
